We spent a week at the Metropol in early September. The feature which stands out is the food - a six course dinner including salad and cheese buffets, with choice on all other courses. The food was varied, well cooked and attractively presented, while service was very efficient. We had a south facing room with balcony which was a reasonable... More

We stayed for 2 nights in a room with glacier view. The room was quite average for a four star hotel, but the surroundings and the view were excellent. The room was very quiet. The bathroom was good and functioned well. The internet worked well in the room. The 5 course half-board menu was excellent and served with a smile. The... More

I spent a week at the Metropol. It is conveniently situated - close to the Post Office bus station (in car free resort that's handy) and handy for the new speedy gondola to get up the mountain. The evening meal is superb. Six courses with choices. The service is friendly and efficient. The room was clean and modern, well-maintained and... More

We stayed at this hotel for a second time, and it surely has lived up to its name in all respects. The dinner here, in full synchrony with the very cosy and comfortable bedrooms, should serve as a standard-setter for other hotels. The view from the balcony is, purely and simply, gorgeous. Mrs. Hess, the manager, went out of her... More

Let me just start by saying the evening meals are fantastic and the staff in the hotel are very welcoming. However we spent new year here in 2012/13 and was disappointed by the room. For a four star hotel which we booked through a major ski provider we were a little disappointed. The greeting was lovely but when we arrived... More

An excellent hotel. I stayed there for a weeks hiking in August. The room I was given was much better than I was expecting. I had booked a single room without balcony and I was given a very comfortable large double room with a balcony facing the mountains. Wi-Fi reception in the bedroom was excellent, I did not try to... The rooms are comfortable and nicely appointed. We took half-pension and were bowled over every night with one amazing dinner after another. We had a group with us, all sophisticated travelers, and they demanded to see the chef to thank him personally. Frau Hess, the owner, was on hand with advise. She made our hiking experience the best it could... More

I stayed in this hotel many years ago and would avoid it like the plague. The lady owner who takes no crap from guests lays down the law. Even more frosty and formal than the St Moritz hotels. Bedrooms are small and dated. I had a small single next to the elevator and you heard it all night long. Spa... More

We had a perfect stay in your hotel, wonderful view on the mountains, service excellent, staff friendly, good food included in half board and very enjoyable SPA. As it was rainy, the even opened the spa earlier for us. Thank you

This is a lovely family run hotel. We ski every year and stay in 4 star hotels, this has been the best by far! We will definitely stay again. The owners are hands on and ensure everything is to their very high standard. The staff are incredibly helpful, nothing is too much trouble. From the moment we arrived it was... More
