The Astra is conveniently situated next to the station and close to bus stops. 5 minutes walk from the lakeside. Worth paying for the deluxe rooms. An excellent location, opposite station and trams and a few minutes' walk from Lake Geneva. Very clean indeed and breakfast provides a great choice with lots of fresh fruit. Staff most pleasant. Stayed at the Astra for 7 nights (Great Rail Journeys holiday). Lovely hotel, very clean, pleasant helpful staff. The bedroom was not very big, but fine for the amount of time we spent in it. Stayed here in August with Great Rail journeys for 4 nights. A great location right opposite the station. We were in room 210 which overlooked the station. A huge room with fridge,safe, TV bathroom with bath, hairdryer and plenty of lamps. Plenty of toiletries.. soap,flannels but no toothbrush or paste. Complimentary bottle of water when we arrived. This hotel is excellent. Nothing too spectacular, nothing over the top, but good sized and well furnished rooms with very efficient and polite service from a family run hotel. This hotel was very nice. The staff were most helpful at all times, posting my mail, arranging laundry without any effort on my part, changing money for me. Room service was excellent, the meals delicious and feshly cooked. The room was very clean and thoroughly cleaned every day.
