this hotel is just about 50 yards into town. the staff was very helpful and friendly and clean. they have a restaurant that serves up typically swiss food. fondue, potatoes with cheese, ham and cabbage, all tasty and prepared well.the room was comfortable, bathroom was typically European. I would stay here again.

We stayed in Gruyeres for 2 nights last week (June 2015) out of our 8 days in Switzerland (stayed in 5 hotels in total). Had a great time in Gruyeres and would recommend the place and the hotel. Pros/cons of hotel: 1. Excellent location - on main street of the very pretty and quaint town that has great views of... More

My wife and I really loved this place. To begin with, the hotel is in a great location. It's very quaint and has a great "feel" to it. There was plenty of space in our room and bathroom. On top of that, we slept great at night with the windows wide open - letting the clean, cool mountain air in;... More

The location, right in the small town, was excellent. We weren't really greeted, not were we wished goodbye at the end of our stay. It was almost as if our visit was tolerated. The rooms were old and not updated, you could say charming, but the beds were not comfortable. They could do so much more to attempt, and maybe... More

Visited yesterday, we had the fondue 100% vacherin which was really delicious (creamy and tasty). It was served with potatoes and bread. Too bad that you have to pay an extra 4.50 chf for oignons and gherkins.

In our opinion, the place to be in Gruyeres! We have found fantastic service, a very warm welcome and atmosphere, a pretty and clean room with great view on the valley, and a very good typicall abundant breakfast. In addition, the location is perfect, inside the ancient town which gives a magic atmosphere during day and night. We want to... More

Two couples from Canada stayed over night at La Fleur de Lys. The atmosphere was second to none, and the service provided was excellent. The only mistake we made was not having our cheese fondue here. Although warned of higher prices up the hill, we mistakenly did not heed their advise. The breakfast served in the morning was evidence of... More

Good restaurants in the heart of the gruyère's village. You can eat there fondue, raclette and others typical swiss food . The lunch was excellent and the waitress sympathetic.I was very charm by this restaurant and recommend it to everyone who pay a visit to the gruyère's.

Gruyeres is a beautiful, medieval town and well worth a visit. The Hotel La Fleur de Lys is a perfect place to base yourself to explore the town and surrounding areas (Gruyere factory just up the road). Rooms and small and bathroom a bit dated but we didn't care, the service was great and very attentive. Bit of a climb... More

Our stay at this hotel was the result of a last minute decision to visit Gruyeres during our trip to Switzerland. Truthfully, we would not have missed the town or hotel. Our room, fronting onto the medieval old Main Street of Gruyeres and its happy, gurgling fountain, was spacious and clean. With the windows open at nighttime, no noises interrupted... More
