On our way through Europe, we found this hotel and thought it would be perfect. Looked warm, inviting and cosy. It was 1.30am on the 27th Dec and we parked our car and took our luggage into reception. The receptionists arrived or should I say tottered through in skin tight clothes and acrylic nails from the direction of the lifts...... more

The Hotel is next to the Motorway but very quiet, the Reception looks great, orange juice while you check in, then you get your key and it is a proper key. When you open your room door it is like entering the seventies, dark brown wood, some would say cosy, we thought disapointing. The room was small but clean, all... more

My husband and I and our 14 month old son stayed here for one night enroute to Italy and then for 3 nights on our return home to the uk. Our experience was excellent. Room was spacious, clean and well equipped. Mini bar was also available but was a little pricey ( as everywhere ). Restaurants and bar had wide... more

ME: I spend probably 20% of my time on the road for business, this trip included. I typically stay at Hiltons and Marriotts, with the occasional Sofitel or Star Hotels thrown in for good measure. LOCATION: This Movenpick sits on the hillside a short walk from the old town of Egerkingen, a short drive from the highway, and a few... more

I ended up in Egerkingen south of Basel because of a queue on the motorway. This hotel was situated on a hillside so I decided to try it. That turned out to be an expensive and forgettable experience. I paid CHF 225 for a nice but dark single room with a view directy into the hill side where a group... more

We stayed here for one night on our way to italy. the hotel is located right next to the highway on a hill side over looking the area. The staff was friendly and we got big room where we (2 adults 2 childeren) were comfortable in for a fair price. In the morning you can have a decent breakfast in... more

I have stayed at this hotel twice, and eaten at its restaurant on other occasions. Like all Movenpick hotels, the restaurants are great and of course ice cream has its own elaborate menu. Pricey? Yes, but on par with the entire country. (There are no "deals" in Switzerland, in case you haven't been told...) The hotel rooms are good sized... more
