“Friendly staff, great restaurant!”

We were passing through Bivio on our drive to Julier Pass and Bernina Pass and it was late at night so we decided to stay. We stopped at Hotel Solaria and luckily they had a room available. The owner and his staff were very friendly and his restaurant (which was attached to the hotel) served amazing food, at good prices!... More

Great Value in Switzerland! The best food, location and the most beautiful horse ride I have ever done, stunning views and great people. Don't forget to eat the risotto at the solaria restaurant.

The Solaria is, as its name suggests, situated in a sunny location, slightly set back from the road leading through Bivio to the Julier pass which goes down to St. Moritz. BIvio is an Italian-speaking village, but most people also speak German and Rumantsch. The hotel is surrounded by mountains, and is only two minutes walk from the ski lift... More

My husband and I visited Bivio, Switzerland. The town is very quaint (only 250 or so people). It has several ski lifts/T-Bars and caters to the skiing crowd in the winter and hikers in the summer. You can get to Bivio via the Post bus system. From Bivio, you can get to the train stations in St. Moritz and Tiefencastle.... More
