Having reserved a hotel in austria for ski vacation we found out it rained on the piste, the day before departure. We frantically searched for an alternative and found plenty of snow in the French Alps. The drive was however much longer (austria from home, utrecht NL, was 8 hours, french alps more like 11). We then found out that... More

Have been staying at this hotel for quite a few years and never have any complaints with the comfort or hospitality. Hilde, is an excellent member of the management team and is very friendly, helpful and professional. It is always lovely to see her again and we get a very warm welcome. It was named after a huge cedar tree that guards its entrance in the town of Bex (known for its "salt mines") and is a good resting spot on the way to or returning from skiing. I... More

I have stayed at the Hotel Le Cedre in May 2011. I was travelling with a group (45 persons) for an weekend-tour to Geneve, Lausanne and Montreux. Bex is a small town with not much to do. Room was spacious and clean. Don't know the value, because the accomodation was included in the tour price and don't know the room's... More

Architecturally odd looking hotel looks like a 70's building with a higgledy piggledy inside, actually built in the 90's. Rooms are spacious clean and quiet. No trouser press. Internet is Swisscom WIFI 4 CHF an hour if you have a swiss mobile phone 15 CHF for 3 hours credit card. Check in staff helpful and nice. Restaurant expensive nothing special... More
