Stayed with my family one night as part of a road trip, very satisfied. The hotel is very beautiful, and has both a car park right in front of it and a restaurant/bar inside. The rooms, mostly wooden both in furniture and styling, are comfortable and cosy - Perfect for families and solo or couples alike. Clean and with comfortable... More

I don't need a five star resort for relaxing winter holliday. I need local, down to earth Swiss hospitality. This house has all you need. Nice clean rooms, comfortable beds, a good Swiss cuisine and a lovely lady managing it all. Perfectly located, all restaurants and bars and the Gemsstock Bahn in walking distance. You will feel comfortable from the... More

Locally baked bread, fresh fruit, eggs, cold meats for breakfast with as much hot coffee or tea as you can drink. Great flexibility with meal times and HOT plates (why can other hotels not manage this?) The rooms are spotless and lots of hot water. Ski boot room with secure ski storage. Just a good choice.

Very clean, home and Swiss style, with lots of wood, nice personnel and great restaurant. Nothing fancy, but all you can wish for. Great, powerful but small showers. Centrally located near Gotthard Tunnel. All the beautiful mountain passes are pretty close. The hotel is always open but keep in mind Andermatt is a sleepy town in October and November. That's... This place could be great but the rooms are really as basic as you could imagine. They are super clean and the beds are comfy but they look like they have not been touched for decades. Almost retro but not in a good way. The other drawback to this place is the overbearing owner who watches your every move. Apparently... More

twowheeltours stayed at Hotel Sonne during the Haute Route Dolomites cyclosportif. The hotel is centrally located right in Andermatt. The rooms were very quite and very clean, the staff was very helpful and spoke English. We had the half board and the dinner was excellent. The breakfast was served to us early and it was a good continental breakfast. We... More

Really nice hotel, Made sure our motorcycle was tucked away safely in a garage and helped carry our heavy panniers to our room. They also have a lift and free wi-fi, something British hotels still have the cheek to charge for!. Had the best meal I've ever tasted in my 60 years. Wish we could have stayed longer but this... The hotel is very attractive, just what you expect from a Swiss mountain town. Our double room was clean, but very basic. The location is excellent, with lots of restaurants and shops in easy walking distance. It is also very close and convenient to climb up out of town from here. Other directions didn't look so easy or inviting. The... More

We stayed here with 4 people in two rooms for one night on our way back home. This hotel has this typical Swiss charm that gives you this warm welcome feeling when you walk in. Plenty of wood in the interior and well decorated up to the little Swiss flags on the table in the restaurant. The hotel has a... More

Good location and an attractive building. The room and shower were fine. Slightly expensive for that style of accommodation even for Switzerland, but all OK. Breakfast was the standard buffet, plus boiled eggs if you ask. Staff a little rushed; things on the breakfast buffet tended to run out and not be refilled for 10 minutes or so. The hotel... More
