As a restaurant guests, my borther and me, went to there for lunch on 03.04.14. After ordering our food, and wanting to check our emails, we politely asked for the password for the wifi. The staff politely answered that this service is for hotel guests only and not for restaurant's guest. Such a bad attitude is mean and not Customer... More

Stayed here in August for a night. The rooms are basic but they're clean and cosy. I've paid much more for hotels in Switzerland during our August trip and they were unclean and awful, but Hotel Aurora was the opposite of that. The staff here keep to themselves and are very generous (they filled up our flasks with fresh coffee... More

Stayed here one night last week. It was warm, cozy and absolutely fine, and certainly a great position if you want to ski the Gemsstock. Full of hearty Swedes on my visit looking like they were all going off freeriding. Dinner was very pleasant and breakfast the next morning quite adequate. Didn't see much of the staff, but from what... More

Apart from the prices I thought the hotel was fine. The shower was hot, the room amply spacious, the bed comfortable. The internet facility wasn't available during my stay which was a bummer but my bike stayed in the spacious boot room which was a step up from the storage I've had in a lot of places that claim to... Took advantage of a three night half board package and were really impressed with the location, room, facilities and attentive & friendly staff. A lovely room looking up the valley towards Hospental. Our bike was stored in the hotel garage and there's a petrol pump right outside. Both breakfast and evening meal were excellent and as mentioned previously all the... More

I have not actually ever stayed in hotel Aurora, but had a very bad experience when trying to book a room from there. To bring the story in short: Andermatt tourist office sent email to all hotels in town behalf of us, asking for accommodation. Hotel Aurora replied straight to me offering a double room with price of 100 CHF... More

Hotel Aurora is fine if you are a group of guys hoping to roll out of bed and literally head across the street to an off-piste ski extravaganza but for anyone else, it has not much to offer except a reasonable price. We knew the current options for accommodations in Andermatt were limited (big changes are coming as large development... More

We went to Andermatt to explore its ski slopes for week-end in Januery 2013. We came with 3 kids of ours - 5, 6 and 8 years old. The hotel is very quite and clean and very well located. It is just 20 menetrs from ski lift and you can ski back to the hotel (if you are an advance... More

If your are looking for a hotel with ski in ski out location to the Gemsstock lift then this is the closest, negotiate park of their car park it is possible to ski to the back door to the boot room and disrobe. The hotel itself has a bar and restaurant area, a smoking room separated off, which is ample... More

Had an overnight stop here on the way to Zermatt. Great central location, good dinner in the restaurant and a basic breakfast. Rooms are basic but very clean, warm and comfortable. All you need for an overnight stop.
