Want a lot of options for breakfast? Want a late checkout? Need an umbrella if it rains? Brought pets? Special requests? The friendly and attentive staff anticipates your requests and seeks ways to help you enjoy a vacation. We've stayed at four different hotels in the Lindau area and this was the best.

If you had a pessimistic disposition you could say that this hotel has no lift, no porterage, no air conditioning, is too near a railway line and is too far from the action. But actually, being away from Lindau Insel is solved by a pleasurably 15 minute walk. The railway noise was subdued in our room although we could hear... More

Great option to the tiny, old and very expensive hotels of Lindau. Short scenic walk from the island - gives you a bit more space and room to breathe. It was a steal in price compared to the uber pricey (overpriced) hotels of the small island. And great breakfast!!! Also had parking which we needed.

We had been there for a one night stay.Loved the place. The only trouble we had is the trains which were passing by but it was ok.The baggage has to managed by us to the floor we get our rooms. There are no lifts and no help is provided. We had a small backpack each and hence did not find it so difficult.THe... We loved being able to walk across the land bridge to the town. It was about a ten minute walk with great views of the lake and the island itself. The staff were great. They were friendly and helpful, especially since we speak zero German. Their recommendation for dinner at Alte Post (which I have reviewed) was outstanding. The breakfast... More

I won`t be back to this hotel and I won't recomended to anyone I appreciated. The explanation is provied by the list of "minus" and "plus" that follows. In the negative side: - Distance to the city: It is far away from the action, in the mainland, 20 minutes walking to the island. If you walk at night you'd probably... More

We stumbled upon this hotel when arriving in Lindau for an evening and were looking for a hotel. Every hotel we tried was full, as were several guesthouses. After following signs in town to the hotel, we were fortunate enough to get one of their last two rooms. Our room was EUR75, and looked like it may have been a... More

I stayed here shortly after the hotel opened back up for the start of the Spring season and was very impressed by the staff. I'm not sure if it was the owner or the manager of the hotel but the man who helped me check in and deal with my car was wonderful. The bed I had was a bit... More

Just tucked away on the mainland, a 10 minute walk to the island. Clean, affordable, good service, try the bikes, they will arrange for them to be brought to the hotel. There is train noise but we got used to it, and it is certainly not a big issue. The only problem I had was the breakfast, plenty to choose... More

Turned out to be easy to locate if you read the map correctly. Essentially in a residential neighborhood. Train track adjacent to property, but with room location, could barely hear the slow-moving and quiet trains--the gate bell often made more noise. There may be rooms in which the sound may be more of a problem. Check first. Also told, rail... More
