I echo the reviews above. We enjoyed a large, cheery triple room with a view of the Mosel and the park bordering it. The bathroom was large as well, with full size towels (you'd be surprised at how many hotels in Germany think a hand towel is a bath towel!), kleenex, soap and shower gel. We discovered a wonderful little family-run hotel, Haus Schwarzenberg, in Ernst, near Cochem. The young Andre family run a clean, comfortable, moderately priced hotel which is convenient to Cochem (about 5 km) and other nearby Rhine towns without the noise and crowds. Our family of 4 stayed here in December 06 during a weekend trip to see some Christmas markets. Having stayed in Cochem before, we decided to try a spot down the river, in Ernst.
