We have just come back from 3 nights at this hotel and we all agreed we found a gem. The staff could not have been more helpful when checking in and managed to sort out some parking for us (I would recommend you contact the hotel before travel if you need to park, we was lucky). WIFI was slow but... More

I arrived in Cochem after six in the evening and much to my surprise the reception was closed. The owners did leave a note with instructions but I was pretty surprised. We found our room and spent the night. At around 5am I was awakened to the smell of baking bread. That was ok but the next thing I heard... More

Thank You for giving us a review. We are very sorry that the noises of the market and the smell from the bakery woke you up early in the morning. We will try in the future to inform our guests about when it will be noiser than normal outside. For late arrival guest, we are considering a better way to... More

Overall a very nice stay, the hotel is very central and just across the road from the river. Rooms good sized, clean and comfortable. Breakfast excellent with lots of choice and all staff very pleasant. Really good value for money.

I should have written this a long time ago. My partner and I stayed here during the heatwave (that does seem like a long time ago) of August 2012. 4 nights as I remember. Loved the place, pleasant staff, loved the breakfasts...OK the Sekt too, but then it was my birthday break! As is the case with so many places... More

This is a nice inexpensive hotel facing the Mosel with plenty of parking in front. The room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was very good. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and the castle is not very far, The town itself is not that interesting.

The hotel was spotlessly clean and management polite and efficient. Breakfast was phenomenal with a wonderful choice of hot and cold food. This hotel is highly recommended. Keep yours eyes peeled when approaching Cochem as our Sat Nav directed us to a point 1Km away! Maybe not the best for people with mobility difficulties as the private parking is adjacent... More

We had a great night as a family of 5 in this hotel. The owner was extremely helpful at check in with questions regarding restaurants and sights in the area. You can walk to all the parts of the old town and also the castle (about 20 minutes but uphill). The hotel is also a cafe with excellent cakes and... More

We had made no plans to visit the Mosel valley but as we were bored with motorway driving, we made a detour along the Mosel valley. We started looking for places to stay but most seemed shut as it was out of season. We came across this hotel which I was drawn to by the Konditorei and went to ask... More

We had a wonderful 2 nights at the Hotel Germania in September. We were warming greeted by Herbert, who so kindly showed us to our rooms and was wonderfully kind in assisting us with our travel needs. Our room had a balcony which we enjoyed every evening, looking out on the beautiful Mosel River and the castle after a long... More

Location is good overlooking the Moselle river. The front desk was in the cafe. The cakes looked delicious but by the time you come back after sightseeing, it is closed. The owner was friendly. The only downside is that there is a flight of stairs to take the lift. The room was spacious but bathroom a bit tiny. Breakfast was... More
