We had most relaxing time. The owners were extremely accommodating and kind, and the food was excellent. I would stay there for an extended period if I could. We were there out of season but could see that it would be even better in the summer.

one of the best places we've stayed in (and have traveled extensively). monica and her staff were exceptional and so helpful and friendly! This hotel about 10/15 walk from old town over the bridge - can meander through the side streets to the bridge (discovered an old church) or along the river also. on the outskirts of town so tranquil and wonderful. we had a side room which was just incredible blessing for our desire to relax and chill... could see stars at night through opened balcony door and lit castle through other window. available umbrella allowed for morning reading on the balcony. absolutely spotlessly clean - everywhere! now, the breakfast buffets was one of the absolute BEST we've been to , all over the world. all the tastes and so good! the staff, again, was attentive and warm and friendly. didn't know bikes available to rent until after we left (our fault, not hotel's). but sauna was wonderful w large showers. not crazy about dogs in restaurant, but it seems to be a thing for everywhere in germany. we enjoyed our stay and if returning to Cochem in the future we would happily stay again.

This hotel about 10/15 walk from old town over the bridge, slight incline but easy enough. I booked a hillside view in error getting my German for 'Berg and Burg' mixed up. I was initially disappointed but it was a fortuitous mistake, the rooms at the front with balconies and castle view were in the sun nearly all day to about 2030hrs and very hot as a consequence. Our room on 1st floor at the back was so much cooler throughput the day. We still sat out on the balcony in the early morning sun and again in the evening. The rooms were much the same but at the back in the height of summer we were so much cooler. The rooms are fairly spacious with good storage. There is a small safe, tea/ coffee provision. Only BBC world and CNN news in English on TV. The room was very comfortable and met my expectations. Hotel was spotlessly clean. Food - one of the best breakfast buffets I have seen, so much choice really something for all tastes. We had one dinner included with our package, you are given the menu either night before ot at breakfast and you place your order. The evening we dined in, we could not fault the meal. I would have preferred to eat later but the hours of service for dinner are 1715-1845 we went at about 1830. There was a good choice of drinks available at dinner. There is no bar as such but an honesty fridge in the basement filled with a good selection or wines, beers and soft drinks all reasonably priced. We were not the only ones that made good use of this facility. We used this mainly when returning from town after a meal and sitting out on our cool balcony, many other guests sat out on the terrace. Bicycles are available to hire but someone else had already reserved for when we wanted them. This was not an issue we just hired them in town and still had our riverside cycle fix. The hotel is close to the river and we spent a few evenings just sat down on the riverbank with either a beer or two or a bottle of chilled wine that we had picked up walking back from town after dinner. Plenty of off road parking we paid the extra €3 per night to keep the car undercover and in the shade. The hotel is dog friendly this was not a problem for us. I booked direct with the hotel via their website which in turn led me to book their 'holiday: special which we thought was a good deal. We enjoyed our stay and if returning to Cochem in the future I would happily stay again. We were made very welcome and the service received was excellen

Very nice family-owned hotel. Room was very clean, wonderful bed, new bathroom and beautiful views from the balcony. It might have only 3 stars but it was actually better then many hotel with 4 or 5 stars. Breakfast was very nice, had everything you need and very well arranged considering covid. Also, it’s possible to hire bikes at the hotel. Thank you Flair Hotel am Rosenhugel for giving us a great vacation!

Friendly staff, very nice room (and clean) with view on the Castle. Rooms look recently renovated. Very good breakfast! Good parking area at the hotel. If they would renovate the breakfast/restaurant area a bit, it would be an Excellent hotel.

Stayed here in August as my partner enjoys visiting Cochem when touring the Mosel. The hotel is disable friendly and very clean and tidy. Off road Parking is next to the hotel with adequate spaces. The family proprietors are very helpful and friendly and provide you with a Fabulous Breakfast - one of the most extensive selections of choice from visiting Germany over 50 years. If you do not enjoy breakfast here, you will not enjoy breakfast anywhere!! The evening meals are also excellent and good value.......with the additional option of dining from a limited choice menu for excellent value. Also for fellow dog lovers worldwide, the hotel is very dog friendly. Well, what can I say to sum up our happy feelings about this family hotel. I know ......... if YOU ever stay at The Flair Hotel ...... you will return!

This is a wonderful hotel with stunning views of Cochem Castle and the Mosel valley from the dining room and the room balconies. Everything is clean and works well from the showers to the key cards. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is very good. There’s a super choice at breakfast with lots of hot strong coffee. The delicious evening meal is beautifully served and three courses for 20 Euros is very good value. There is a pretty relaxing garden with sun loungers and a small pool. The hotel Is a pleasant walk over the old bridge into the centre of Cochem.

The Flair hotel is perfectly situated straight across the Mosel from the Cochem castle and you should definitely opt the few extra dollars for the view facing that way. An idyllic peacefulness to enjoy a bottle of cold dry Riesling and some meat and cheese as you warm in the setting sun on your balcony with the birds chirping and boats going by down on the river. Breakfast had a huge selection of classic German items and all glass windows and ceilings in their sun room to gaze upon the castle and drink the nice strong coffee. Rooms have everything you need and all the employees were helpful and added to the tranquility of the stay. Go and relax! Thanks for a great stay, David

We stayed for 3 nights and were amazed by the location of the hotel (10 min from the old town) and view from the room. The room was very comfortable, clean and the balcony faced Cochem castle. Breakfast was far beyond our expectations, a lot of local delights like cold meat, mustard, cheeses, jams and honey were extremely tasty. The management of the hotel and the staff were very polite and professional. I understand that the view from the room and the restaurant is not the crucial feature, however, it was simply unforgettable!! So, the hotel left only pleasant and delightful memories. What might be a kind of a challenge: as we travelled during off-peak season (very end of April), the absence of air conditioning in our room was no problem but during hot summer it might bring some discomfort...
