This hotel was nothing special. Service was adequate and considering the location, is over looking the beautiful Moselle River, we were given a room overlooking a fire escape. To change rooms we would have had to pay half the price of the room again. The hotel closes quite early so we had problems finding the alterbative entrance which we eventally... More

The owner is really nice and helpfull and the hotel got a great location but that is about it. Breakfast was also really good. But hotel really needs a renovation. It's really pricey for what you get. I would not stay here again. Cochem is a very cosy town though and worth the visit.

Dined here in the evening (not staying at the Hotel). We chose this restaurant as it seemed to be the only one with some helpful English on the menu. The building is fascinating in itself with an amazing and eclectic variety of artifacts decorating the interior. The location on the promenade is superb with views over the Mosel. We dined... More

I travelled by car to Cochem. This hotel provided parking a brisk 10 minute walk away over crowded cobblestone streets. The parking was 8 Euro. You could not take a large bag because of the streets and there is no room for you in the hotel room if you have a large bag. The hotel location is good. The staff... More

One night kind of place. Breakfast was highlight and that mostly because the sun was shining into the breakfast room. Mediaeval weapons rivaled by mediaeval bedroom furnishings. Grumpy service. Everyone going through the motions. A revamp of owners and bathrooms wouldn't go amiss.

Bit of a scanky place. Nothing new since about 1970 as born out by the photos in the lift.Bathroom and toilet too small to be practical.Strange noise in back of hotel annex during the day that sounds like a industrial washers going.Couldn't track it down though. Paid 90 euro's-- not worth it.

Cochem is a wonderful town right along the sleepy Mosel river and makes a good base for exploring the valley. The hotel is in a good location right along the promenade. I showed up without reservations and used a service outside the tourist office to locate a room. When I entered, I was pleased by the decor of dining room... More

Drove into the lovely town of Cochem - Picked this hotel at random and chose poorly - The lady on reception couldn't have been less friendly and when I asked if she had a map, she wanted to know why I wanted one? Had a room which evidently had a view of the river but ended up in a separate... More

We stayed during the first week of September ‘06, paid $100 euro per night. Room was small, dated, and had a sleigh / canopy bed – not good for a 6’ 2” man – I had to sleep on the diagonal. Tiny bathroom with a shower stall. The balcony provides a great view and the hotel location is fine, right... More

For 15 euros less, I decided to stay in a room with no view in the annex of the hotel. The annex is connected to the main hotel, so there was no problem getting around. The room and bathroom were small, the window looked over an airshaft, but it was perfectly adequate. The breakfast buffet had a wide range of... More
