We stayed three nights in a family room with balcony to the rear of the hotel. It was our first visit to Cochem but we were made most welcome by the young receptionist who showed us around the building speaking very good English. He was helpful and informative and a credit to his employers. Our room was spacious with luxury... More

my husband and I spent the weekend at the beautiful, boutique hotel. we had a large room on the ground floor with a huge balcony looking out to the river. the bed was incredibly comfortable. the breakfast was amazing--full of beautiful cheeses and the most delicious lemon croissants! the hotel does offer drinks or wine by the bottle, so you... After reading reviews of this hotel and emailing the owner, I guess I had high expectations. I'm so sorry to say that I was tremendously disappointed in our overall experience here. The hotel itself is in a great location and is very nice. Our room was spacious, clean and decorated nicely. That's what gets it three stars. Unfortunately, the owner... More

The good things first: It is a nice hotel with a great ambience - located quite central for visiting interesting places around the Mosel river. The staff was very helpful and checking in was as smooth as it gets. The rooms appear spacious in a very boutique style where modern furniture strangely enough match very well with the original doors... More

Now I am a senior contributor to Tripadvisor and feel that I am fair with my reports having had many helpful remarks, but oh dear now I have a quandary. This is a very pretty hotel in a very pretty town and right on the Mosel river . The town of Cochem is charming and we went round it on... More

First of all we could not find the hotel! The sat-nav took us right to the spot but there are no signs on the front with the hotel name. Just look for the Shell petrol station on the Moselstrasse road that runs by the river and it is right next door! You cannot get a car into the front so... More

From the moment we arrived the hosts did their utmost to make our stay pleasant. The rooms are well decorated clean and recently updated to a high standard. The breakfast was lovely with plenty of choices for all palates. Sometimes you just say to yourself I want to come back to this place and this is one of them.

Villa Vinum is a rather unusual old house overlooking the Mosel river in Cochem. We were told that it is at least 100 years old. Lots of creaky stairs and turrets etc. We received a warm welcome from Mr. Steidel. who showed us round and then up to our room. The overall decor and furnishings are quirky but all very... More

We stayed here in Oct 2013 and I realized I had not provided a review yet. This was a lovely small hotel / B&B in an old mansion as stated before. The owners have put great effort into the details of their renovations, clearly looking to provide a high quality experience for their guests. We would highly recommend this hotel... More

Villa vinum is worth the no elevator, walk up to a top of the line accommodation. Theodore and Michelle are pro active managers who make your stay here more as enjoyable. The breakfast, which is included, ranks high on our best ever. Smoked salmon, fresh orange juice, exceptional bread, this is the real three star a that has four star... More
