This hotel very good. Highly recommended. Across The Mosel River from main town of Cochem Germany, which to us was a good thing. We liked being away from the crowds of Cochem. Ask for balcony with a river view. Note that rooms not air conditioned. Not a big deal but you should know this. Breakfast was exceptional. Hotel includes parking... More

The best part of this hotel is it's friendly staff. It was truly one of the friendliest places we stayed on our entire vacation. Every person we encountered here at the hotel was equally warm and friendly - only wish we could remember all of their names to give each one a personal thank you. Werner, the night bar keeper... We had room 17 which was on third floor and had a darling balcony with view of the castle. Castle was gorgeous at night. Bathroom and rooms very clean. Breakfast decent, good local jams. Coffee a mite weak. Owners very helpful and nice. "Seamy" drew us a map with places to eat and where to catch buses etc. He was... More

From the moment we arrived the family run staff attended to every detail. This was our first trip to the area and they helped assure it would not be our last. Loved the town and this family run establishment.

A great welcome at this hotel which is very comfortable. We had a large superior room on the first floor with large comfortable bed and large bathroom with good shower. Very good breakfasts. Super location which is quiet (not on a busy road) a few metres walk from the river. Own small car park and parking vouchers provided if park... More

We arrived from Australia and commenced our European tour from here. Our 2 night stay was not enough. The family who run this place are lovely and so obliging. The rooms are comfortable and really clean. The view of the castle from our room was breath taking. The stairs to get to our room were a little challenging The car... More

gorgeous hotel, stunning location overlooking the castle and the old town with the river flowing in the foreground, lovely friendly couple that own the hotel couldn't do enough for us, parking is nearby and a short walk over the bridge to the town and all the shops and restuarants you could want.

If I could give the staff higher than excellent I would! I was made to feel at home from the moment I arrived at this small family hotel. From my room I could see the river between buildings and the castle above rooftops. There was no lift but my case was carried to my room for me. I had a... More

We stayed for just one night here, but it was a great stay. The owner couple were really nice -- they were eager to show us how to get to different places in Cochem, and they served wonderful breakfast. Just as we were leaving, they offered us a jar of homemade honey to bring back home, which was so sweet... More
