The location is lovely, high on the banks of the Mosel with a great view of the river. The cleanliness and quality of the hotel was good, and the food at both breakfast and dinner was ample, varied and served by polite staff. But, gosh, they are strict on timings. Admonished for being ten minutes late for dinner, told that I... More

I am surprised by some of the negative reviews. We stayed here a few summers ago, and only had positive experiences. Keep in mind Cochem is a small quiet town by the Mosel, so we weren't at all surprised that this hotel closes up @ 10 pm. It is also family run, but the staff catered to any needs we... More

This place is a trap. Before you realize what happened, you're stuck up on the side of a mountain without any escape. We booked online from Trier based on the website description. The entire place literally goes silent about 9 p.m. - that means ghost town, no living humans anywhere on premise. That would be acceptable if your goal was... More

Our plan to go buy some good wine was literally "last-minute" and we managed to reserve the last available room in this hotel. October weekends are high-season on the Mosel. Hotel location is super-quiet on the slope of the hill opposite Cochem city. Parking available inside and outside. Dinner was included in the deal, as was breakfast of course: "Halb-Pension."... We were pleasantly surprised with the quaint and cozy atmosphere of this place. We arrived in Frankfurt on a an early morning flight and the hotel graciously allowed an early check in. If you're having dinner you have to decide at check-in what time you want to eat and your entrees (there are 2 or 3 choices). The room was... More

After checking in discovered the room was a very small twin room, not a double. Bathroom was smaller than those in "nostar" hotels in Paris. Returned to checkin desk and requested the double room which was reserved. Was told that was it and they had credit card number which they would charge even if the room was refused. Request to... We had booked this hotel after that we had reviewed some reviews on Tripadvisor and Booking.com. I have to say that the welcome was very pleasant, the lady spoke well English and explained the ins and outs of the hotel. We had booked a room with a view on the Mosel, these rooms were only possible to book with dinner.... More

We had a lovely spacious, excruciatingly clean room with a balcony with a great shower that would empty the Mosel. Breakfasts are good with fruit yogurt and muesli as well as the usual fare. The sauna and fitness suite is great. However there are some things that may make a stay here not as relaxing as you might hope. The... More

We stayed 2 nights at the hotels in mid November, paying the half board rate so we also ate at the hotel. The hotel, as others mentioned, is on the other side of the main town, situated a little up the hill. I think it would be a bit of a tough walking up the slope but the drive is... More

This hotel was so peaceful! It's located in a strange location, not where all the hotels are but more in a residental area but the good thing with that is that you didn't have to worry about parking problems. The breakfast here was probably the BEST one my husband and I had during our 2 week Germnay/ Switzerland trip. The... More
