We booked this hotel because it was the only one we found in Cochem with air conditioning, despite the less than excellent tripadvisor score. It is seriously underrated! Our room was beautifully furnished and large, with a balcony facing Cochem and castle across the Mosel. I could have spent the entire vacation staring at the view. To get to town,... More

Stayed in the hotel for 5 nights half board with a group. River view room with bath and shower was very comfortable with lovely views of castle and old town across the river Moselle. Great choice for breakfast and good dinners, pleasant waiters and prompt service. Enterained one evening by Philipino foursome playing popular songs which was pleasant surprise. Cochem... More

My friend and I found ourselves in Cochem on a rainy October night. The Brixiade had an available room at a reasonable price so we gave it a try. We booked online at an internet cafe and then drove across the river to check in. The receptionist spoke English and we had no trouble checking in. It's located right on... More

I have written to this hotel 3 times by e-mail, once in German Language and twice in English to ask for accommodation. Dates and room type were provided on each occasion. They have not even replied. Most discourteous.

The hotel is on a lovely position right by the river and with great views across the river to the town and castle. It was spotlessly clean and the staff were welcoming and attentive. Edmund Mellers in the bar made our evenings very pleasant and provided us with excellent service and a friendly smile. Our bedroom (209) was a reasonable... More

The hotel has great views across the beautiful River Mosel to the town of Cochem, assuming you get a river facing room. Most of the "Comfort" Rooms have the river views with (very narrow) balconies that involve chair juggling if two want to sit outside. But you do need to specify river views when booking and clearly the view is... More

We travelled to this hotel with Treyn. The holiday was good but the hotel room was appalling. If you are offered room 116 refuse it straight away. The hotel boasts 4 stars and lifts to all floors. Our room was in an annexe at the back of the hotel with lift access to the first floor then a walk along... More

We stayed here as part of a Treyn group and can't praise Treyn enough. Our holiday was excellent value for money made even better by the excellent service of the Tour Manager Mark Stokes. However we were let down by the hotel food. It is served as a buffet and although the breakfast was very good, the evening meal was... More

Lovely hotel , good food, service and views. Do if you can pay the extra for a river view it's really worth it. We stayed here with a treyn group and all our needs were well catered for . Would definitely stay here again if in the area.
