One of the worst experiences we have had in accommadation. Extremely dirty - don't stop there - make sure you can get to the next stop for the night.

One of the better Roadhouses, food in the Restaurant was excellent, so much better than we ever expected, as it is in the middle of no-where we were slightly apprehensive, but the accomodation was very good and comfortable, we would certainly stop again.

Spent the night here was it was too late to push on to Fraser Range Station (another 90km west but apparently the best stopover on the Nullarbor). Captive audience. Room expensive but the next option is quite a drive away (heading west). Friendly staff and good food in the hotel bar.

We stopped here overnight on our way over the nullabor. I was disgusted. We had a motel room. The linen on the bed had not been washed in a very long time and stank and was clearly filthy. This roadhouse towards the western end of the Nullarbor plain provides a clean comfortable airconditioned stopover for a reasonable price ($130 for standard room). Very spartan but clean rooms. Fantastic atmosphere in the pub and restaurant, which also has a free museum displaying the chunks of SkyLab, the US space vehicle that crashed in Balladonia 30 years ago or so. Lots of fun.

We also travelled from Streaky Bay all the way across the Nullabor to spend the night here. My partner and I were pleasantly surprised with the quality of our room at the Balladonia Roadhouse.
