Apparently the current management has only been there for 6 weeks; and they certainly do try very hard to make this place stand out. I found the place way above average for a remote roadhouse. Yes, not cheep; but none of them are. But the staff were very friendly, very helpful and dinner was the best on my entire trip... More

Like all the other roadhouses out on the Nullarbor, this on offers the basics in the way of fuel and hot food. A great avery with Quayle and green budgies and good clean toilets. Friendly staff ready to help with your needs. We enjoyed a lovely morning tea at Cocklebiddy.

Stayed here for one night when they had the worst rainfall in 126 years. This review is for their backpacker rooms and not their standard rooms which appear a lot better. Room was very large with a dividing wall (no door) separating two beds. There was a bathroom with shower. Room was damp and could have done with a proper... More

You are expected to camp (powered site) in what is really a car park. Limited shade. The downside is the position of the 'caravan park' which is directly next to the 24hr generator (think 747 next to your tent!). Again, you can't sleep. We left at 4am. Gross. Sleep in the bush or move on!

There is a lot of accommodation available on the Nullabor especially once the holidays are over. We had driven some 11 hours and decided to stop at Cocklebiddy. The rooms are basic standard at best but clean. The restaurant food was satisfying with plenty of vegetables served with our fish. Bar prices are through the roof and there is NO... More

I was driving from Perth to Melbourne. This was the chosen stop on night one mostly as i had a small dog with me and many places don't allow pets. This one did. Got there just on dusk. Shower worked well, bed comfy, plenty of space to walk the dog. Dinner was scotch fillet with chips and salad and my... More

Having read very mixed reviews, we were interested to see Cocklebiddy Wedgetail Hotel and it was the right distance for us to reach on our drive across the Nullarbor. The room was adequate and provided with a fridge, coffee-making facilities and a good hot shower. The food emphasized quantity over quality but ensured we didn't go to bed hungry. The... More

We were in the middle of the Nullarbor, it was getting dark, we were tired and were prepared for the worst as we pulled in to Cocklebiddy. How wrong we were! The room was clean and spacious, the queen bed was comfortable and the fridge was larger than we'd previously experienced on our trip - great for keeping our perishables... More

Great welcome when we arrived. Very basic but was a stop over for 1 night. Nice food lots to buy and a bar. Only Roadhouse on the Nullabor with out a mast so no signal. .. Great space to let the dog run and if you pay $50.00 our dog could stay inside, got back our bond after our room... More

We crossed the Nullarbor from Melbourne and stayed in a couple of roadhouses along the way and decided to book into different ones on the return trip - variety being the spice of life we hear. Our room was more than adequate, from the ancient, faded picture of a sailing ship with the TV antenna stuck behind the frame of... More
