My family has been going for Christmas for many years and we have joined a few times. Our stay last Christmas was outstanding again. All staff from the owners down go out of their way to make your stay pleasant and memorable. You stay in a beautifully decorated art nouveau house (actually several houses joined together). The food is excellent... More

An elegant family run boutique hotel passionate about their history and attentive to making guests feeling important. The rooms are spacious with quality furnishings and décor. The hotel oozes quality with care. There is no noise from other rooms and one feels cocooned away from the world.

Although old, Hotel Aurora is a very nice and clean hotel. I stayed here for almost 1 week for work and had a lovely time. My room was spacious and my bathroom nice and clean. The breakfast buffet in the morning has everything you want. There is enough choice for everyone. The staff of the hotel is very friendly.

On the in and outside of the hotel you just feel the charm of art nouveau. Our room was absolutely spotless and very comfortable. Breakfast could not be better. Nice surroundings and the river Ahr just in front of the hotel. We had a wonderful stay and will be back in 3 month time. ;) The family who runs the... More

In late August of 2013, we planned a visit to new family who live in and around Bad Neuenahr. The Aurora was recommended to us, and after a little research chose to stay there for four days. We had two rooms....both of which were very comfortable, extremely clean and well appointed. That being said, the characteristic we found most appealing... More

This family run hotel, built in 1905, already looks fab on approach. In September the ntrance was delightfully clothed in pink, blue white summer flowers. The staff at reception are very friendly and helpful and there is a jar with sweeties I could not resist. I think a family run hotel wins over a faceless multi hotel most of the... More

Quite nice location. Renewed old hotel but it remains a bit outdated. Our room was small with a outdated small bathroombut a good bed. Diner was very poor but a very nice good breakfeast. Nice swimming pool.

We stayed one night and took the half-board service. The rooms are clean, small, nicely decorated but a bit dated. The rooms in front look out onto the very pleasant river scene. The pool is typical of a small private hotel--enough for 3-4 strokes from end to end but no more. There is also a sauna and small hot tub.... More
