Lots of positives, lovely room (224) with balcony overlooking river and gardens to the rear of the hotel. Comfortable and clean. Public areas are very pleasant too. Has a slightly faded feel to it, but in a grand old lady in need of some TLC kind of way. Breakfast adequate, not brilliant. Overall, would definitely recommend.

This is a nice comfortable hotel - see my photos! spacious room, generous breakfast buffet, more elegant than your basic hotel. Some reviews mention the dated appearance, and in the USA often "dated" is code for "dirty" or "shabby." However, I didn't feel the Parkhotel was either - it is clean and modern, but it is true that there is... More

Very nice hotel, all the needed facilities. Staff friendly and warm. Central place, close to main streeets with nice restaurants and cafes. The Sunday I visited all the shops were open and was crowded, so felt some nice energy. There is also river close to it with nice panoramic views.

Set in a park beside the river and next to the spa buildings, this splendid looking hotel was once very grand hosting heads of state. Still grand in appearance externally, the rooms are perhaps past their best but still perfectly adequate (and spacious) for the cost of the booking. Wi-fi was a bit slow. Excellent buffet breakfast. The hotel offers... More

The building is lovely from the outside, but our room was a little run down and in need of a make over. First impressions for us in our early sixties was that we were the youngest here, and couldn't wait to leave, but the place really grew on us. Lovely gardens and free entry to next doors spa clinched it!... More

This is an absolutely beautiful hotel on the outside. historic and charming. It looks like something from a movie set. The inside, however, could use some help. The "renovations" are mid 20th century-lots of blue carpet and 70's looking furniture and fixtures. The room was clean, although it had a cigarette smell. We were with a large tour group so... More

A lovely setting in the kurpark and a storied history, at least fro Bad Kreuznach, the hotel has the potential to be magical. Yet the late 70's renovation dulls the charm of the property. Not in a major market there is not much high end competition. I think after many years I may need to try the other hotel in... More

Listening to a 3 piece band in the park right in front of the hotel, watching at least 15 couples dancing to the tune of the 50's and 60's while sipping on a glass of wine in the afternoon is a true treat for mind and soul. The room of this 100 year old grand establishment ( staying already one... More

I stayed in this hotel by chance. Meeting over-ran, queued at Strasborg - I had to find a room. The hotel was built in 1930 and is a German Art Deco hotel which was once the height of luxury. It has remained intact, undamaged by wars, accountants and corporate vandals. The corridors are the width of a country lane, there... More

Stayed here Sep 1th and 13th. The Domina was very comfortable and had a great breakfast. We also enjoyed the grounds preceding the Hotel, they are beautiful. The hotel also offers many trails to enjoy if you enjoy morning or afternoon walks. The Curch Bells from St Pauls at different times od day were awesome. The staff was attentive, very... More
