This is a lovely hotel, very charming and in a very central location. Staff are friendly, helpful ,and offer a very good service. The breakfast is excellent. with a large range of fresh produce to chooose from.

The hotel is in a great location, just behind the Tourist Information office in the pedestrianised zone. The town is small so everywhere is within easy reach of the hotel. The room was very spacious and the heating was easy to control-important as it was cold when we arrived, but the Sunday was very warm for October. The bathroom was... More

Not just a bit dingy and shabby. Inflexible, as others have said, and the bouncer/proprietor was simply insulting when we arrived (does he always question guests' creditworthiness?). The shower was falling apart and the room was cramped. Friendly staff, once the boss's back was turned. However: not at all comfy. Don't risk it!

Very welcoming staff and very helpful. Spoke very good English. Breakfasts were very generous. It is a very old building consequently no lift. Our rooms were on the top floor, very spacious but, 43 steps so not for the very unfit! There is also a roof terrace overlooking the square which was very nice to sit and have a glass... More

We were only here for one evening and were greeted by a senior member of staff who obviously could not wait to finish his shift. He was abrupt and very off about us asking for the WIFI password, actually saying he's not sure and complaining that 'well it's an 800 year old building' - meaning, what should we expect? Would... We liked the hotel very much, nice and good restaurant. This is located in the center of the town close to the river. Parking is about 3 min by foot. I would definitely go back to this hotel next time.

We visited Berkastle for the Christmas Markets. The hotel is perfectly placed, the market is quite literally right outside the door. Beautiful old building and despite our group arriving very late indeed we received a warm welcome. Excellent German breakfast in pleasant dinning room. Our room was a reasonable size, no view but a good size bathroom. Clean, pleasant and... More

Our room turned out to be up some stairs, around a corner, around another corner, along a corridor, up some more stairs... I won't go on. Very nice room when we got there, spacious, comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Breakfast was fine, with plenty of choice. Didn't eat there, as there was so much choice in Bernkastel. Great to be... This hotel is a pension that has been in the same family for generations. It is centrally located, although Bernkastel is small and quiet - sometimes completely dead in the evenings. On Tuesdays the shutters are pulled down leaving key access only to the rooms. The rooms are uncomfortable. You cannot sit and lean back on the beds as there... More

Bernkastel-Kues is one of my favorite places in Germany, winter or summer. Our family of 4 stayed here for two nights, specifically to take in the Christmas market in this lovely, unspoilt little town. The Hotel Moselbluemchen is perfectly located in the heart of the pedestrian area of the old town. It is a perfect base for exploring the Mosel... More
