We had a nice room with a terrace looking over the Rhine river. We really enjoyed reading on the terrace with the river and castle in the background. Thankfully we didn't have any issues with noise from the nearby main road or ferry traffic. Easy location to walk around the town. The Castle was a bit of a hike but... More

We spent two nights in this lovely hotel in a room with a balcony literally overlooking the Rhine. To be honest, I have been burned in the past by stellar tripadvisor reviews that just sounded too good to be true. Stop looking folks, this place deserves each and every five star review. Reserve the balcony room immediately before someone else... More

The Rhinehotel is clean, reasonably priced and centrally located in this small, quaint German village. And they have parking! The host is knowledgeable and friendly, eager to help with travel arrangements, restaurant suggestions, etc. Having breakfast (ample and delicious) while sitting on the porch and watching the river traffic was an added pleasure. The hotel is a short walk to... More

We spent three nights here in August of 2014. Gil is indeed a wonderful host eager to meet our every need. The rates were very good. The Hotel was in a perfect location to enjoy the Rhine. A wonderful breakfast was included on the porch where we could enjoy watching the Rhine and its traffic. Hotel was quiet and clean.

We spent 2 nights in August, 2014 in St. Goar at the Rheinhotel. That hotel is our personal relaxation retreat anytime we go to Germany. We love to sit on the deck (Room #7), wine glass in hand and enjoy the beautiful scenery including the various boats and barges on the Rhine River and the castles in the distance. The... More

My wife and I stayed here one night based on the other TA reviews. All is true and for St Goar could not recommend another place. Gil, the owner, is very knowledgeable and friendly. He helped us with some difficult travel arrangements with a smile and patience. Our room had a patio facing the Rhein and it was very nice,... More

Very friendly reception with no hesitation to inform (in a normal way) about restaurants etc. nearby. Room is spacious and clean. Our bathroom was rather small though. The breakfast was devine with very nice seating in the glass house in front. Eye for details. Would recommend with a doubt!

We want to second the other reviews. The host Gil is a great guy and lays out a fabulous breakfast! We had a family suite which gave private rooms to parents and kids, but was also connected. Clean and very reasonable rates, convenient to everything in town.

At times I feel many reviewers don't always tell the bad with the good. The good...small town not as touristy as Bacharach ...the owner Gil could not be more helpful or kind in every way....the view to the river and location is great... The breakfast spread was one of the best on the trip The bad... There is construction going... More

This hotel is fabulous! Gil, the owner, makes it feel more like a bed and breakfast with a full breakfast buffet that includes scrambled eggs, yogurt, fresh fruit, bread, coffee/tea and more! He has great suggestions for what to see and where to eat in the area. He helped us out with boat and train schedules, too. He does it... More
