Friends who live in Bad Durkheim recommended this as the best hotel in town and we weren't disappointed. Judging from the carpark full of large black Audis, BMWs and Mercs, this is primarily a business-oriented hotel during the week, but it doesn't feel like it. The spa was excellent, with a large indoor pool, jacuzzi, elevated sun-deck, sauna and chill-out... More

I'm staying in this hotel every week for more then 18 months now (and counting), despite the fact that it is 23 km away from work. Great facilities, great staff... probably due to great management. :)

I really can not fault this hotel, but it wasn't for me. (Although I may be back!) The oriental theme and Japanese tea garden may seem a little strange to non Germans but the locals obviously love it. The grounds and attractions are extremely well kept, and the staff were all excellent. Only two issues. 1. due to the size... More

The Heusser Gartenhotel is a modern 4 star hotel with a spa, a pool, a restaurant and a lovely setting up on the hill above Bad Durkheim. You can actually walk down the hill to get to the center, but coming back would be a problem because of the steep hill. This is a hotel to visit with a group... More

Perfect: spacious rooms which are more like apartments, amazing food, friendly service and beautiful location. It's labyrinth-like building may be confusing at times, but that is, really, the only negative I've seen! It's worth all the money! Enjoy!

The Gartenhotel Heusser is small family run hotel in Bad Dürkheim. I chose this hotel for a family weekend and I’m happy I did. There is so much to see in the area and Bad Dürkheim has a lot to offer as well. This wine region is gorgeous. The huge garden of the hotel is very well maintained was ideal... More

For starters, the good ol’ Bad Durkheim is captivating! A well-known and popular spa in the middle of the wine region, a mammoth wine barrel for the records (supposed to be the biggest unused wine barrel in the world), the tractor ride around the town with different varieties of German Riesling wines, the ancient Roman memorial overlooking the Rhine valley,... very clean well run hotel with cheerful staff who speak good english. Ask for a de luxe wellness room which is in the newest of several buildings which make up this hotel. These rooms have a balcony and overlook the garden. It is here that you find the indoor swimming pool. The food was good with a choice of a... More

My husband's company booked our stay at the Gartenhotel Heusser because of its location near the Weinstrasse. It was an excellent jumping off point for us to tour the wineries/vineyards in the area. The hotel was comfortable and clean. The decor was simple and European. The staff was helpful and mostly stayed in the background. The bed in our room... More

we had a really nice suite, well cleaned and maintained, about 50 sqm, 2 seperate rooms. Food was great (Breakfast&Dinner) Beautiful "japanes" garden with Turtels, Koys, sculpturs, very relaxing. Some of the buildings have no elevators (2 floors max.) Ask for it beforhand, it should be fine then. Service was fast and professional, very quick check in. And to mention:... More
