Ring Hotels in our experience tend to offer good quality accommodation and good meals. This one doesn't. First impressions - and those of the website are favourable - impressive in fact. I guess that's always a problem with photographs and websites. The reality is a really impressive set of buildings in quite a good location right on the Weser River... more

We liked the look of this riverside hotel on passing it on the way into Hameln. The only rooms left on a Saturday evening were on the fourth floor and the receptionist told me that he would rather have given us a room on the next floor down. This turned out to be because the room was under the sloping... more
