This lovely hotel is very centrally located in the heart of Winterberg. They boast 19 large rooms (I estimate ours was around 40m², with a full size sitting corner consisting of a large and small sofa) which are very clean. Maybe the interior is somewhat outdated but on the other hand this is a traditional German hotel, so we didn't mind one bit. We must add that these were the best beds we ever had in a hotel, and it's a pity returning now to our own beds at home! Never problems with hot/cold water in the small yet functional bathroom, our room at the third floor had a magnificent view over Winterberg, and the breakfast was simple but oh so delightfull. The restaurant serves typical German/international hot and cold dishes, and the meals are very tastefull. Seldomly experienced such a friendly service. Within walking distance of the skilifts, stores (local, as well some international chains), large supermarket, hiking trails, loipes... We can't wait to go back, when it... more
