We went to the hotel for the weekend. It's ideally located at 3 kms from Winterberg centre and at the end of the parking you can take the ski lift. The hotel & the hotel rooms, bath room are very clean, with good beds but don't expect any luxury in the rooms. On top the breakfast is really extended. Some... More

We stayed here during the christmas break, and the first snow of the season. It was packed. And if you go anywhere that is packed, you will not be able to have a serene vacation, so it was expected. What wasn't expected is that it is very difficult to find someplace to eat for lunch or dinner if you are... More

Positive; rooms are clean, ample, good beds, good showers, there's a pool, there's ski rental and passes on site, there's a ski lift very nearby, personnel is kind Negative; rooms are very bare, no extra's and no charm. Same goes for pool, which really is very boring. Food buffet style is really bad ( lots from the freezer and soup... More

Fantastic location in rural scenery, good views. Walking distance to skilift. Rental of equipment at ther hotel, as well as selling of passes. Breakfastbuffet was good and included. Staff very helpful and cooperative in re-arranging our hotels rooms to a family appartment. Wifi was weak, and had to be paid. But swimming pool (free) and other facilities were clean and... More

Had gold arrangement included hotel package deal. Breakfast, dinner, golf fee were included, and to be honest, dinner buffet was not exactly something you would want to have. Especially not in Germany, while restaurants out of hotel are quite cheap and tasty. Rest of the service are just great! After all outdoor activities you can imagine in Winterberg, you can... More

Stayed for a weekend break that turned into 4 days of touring and activities and the Hotel Witnerberg made for a perfect base. The staff all speak English, very well and tolerated my German with grace. Danke. The decoration is typical for the area and made me feel very at home. The rooms are well appointed and clean to white... More

A group of ten motor cyclists from Scotland headed over to Germany in search of excellent roads and road surfaces to ride. We stayed at the hotel Winterberg using it as a base for our four days trip. The hotel is very biker friendly and on our arrival the owner showed us to the large carpeted garage where we could... More

Visited during the week. Weekends might be quite different, it will be a lot busier. Large parking, not very well lit, so icey patches can surprise you. Reception was friendly and efficient. Bar area is large and has pool table and two pinball machines. Stairs a bit over the top with ornaments. Maybe they are intended to take your mind... More

We stayed in hotel Winterberg for 2 nights. We booked a standard 2p.-room. The hotel has more than enough parking space if you arrive with the car as we did. It is very conveniently located as the nearest elevator to the snow-area is not more than a few minutes walk from the hotel. There is also a small store near... More

Our room was small but clean and comfortable, the price was reasonable and reception staff very helpful and pleasant. Unfortunately we found the restaurant to be very poor, For dinner there was only a limited buffet and no a la carte option. At breakfast the fried egg was cold and the young waitress surly and unhelpful. Good walks straight from... More
