We stayed at the Steinbach for four nights. We arrived early, already around 10 am and prompt got our room. The room, 102, was small but nice with access to the garden and with a small terrace. Very clean and tidy hotel, very good food and helpful staff who did everthing they could to help non German speakers. Very good facilities , bike hire and Gym , all included in the cost as is the Ruhpolding Card.

This hotel looks beautiful and is situated on the outskirts of the village. Sadly,even if you have booked a suite(as we did) if you are British you will receive a poorer service than the mainly elderly ,dour and boorish Germans who populate this hotel. The rooms were kept very clean. Despite our lack of Germany the staff were of great help to us. The X-tra card is a great idea and makes you go and visit the places in Ruhpolding. This was our second year there and we enjoyed it to the full.

Rooms comfortable and clean Leisure complex good Food good and staff helpful Ruhpolding is a lovely area However the road it is situated on, is like a 'Rat RaceTrack' and Thomson clients are put in the front rooms, so I would only recommend, if you have hearing problems

Booked our Holiday through Thomsons and we were well looked after. Food and accomodation excellent.
