We chose to centrallise ourselves in Ruhpolding as a base for our 10 day holiday. We arrived to a very wet start which kept us indoors for most of the second day. However you dont go to Bavaria in August and expect sunshine every day. We were met on arrival by Boris who showed us our room and then around the Hotel. For the whole of our stay nothing was too much trouble for Boris and he was always willing to provide information such as the weather forecast, train times etc and even offered to collect from the station if we were to return late on our trip to Salzburg. Theme nights are common in the restaurant and the sight of Boris in traditional costume is one not to be missed. The hotel was maintained to a high standard and certainly higher than others I have stayed at of a similar rating. We enjoyed it so much we have booked again at the end of January more
