Stayed with my family in this hotel. Small but cozy room. Great breakfast included. Convenient to Fussen where we were going to see the castles. The town is busy with skiers and the scenery was beautiful! Very much enjoyed our stay here. Rooms were a little dated, but in my opinion it simply added to the charm.

Nesselwang to Fussen --no train that goes straight there instead take the bus which only takes 30mins and it cost 4euro each way. From the hotel go down to main street where the Catholic church is turn left toward Aldi grocery store(going East on main st)(Aldi-we bought our waters and food) you come across the tourist information building(which close on... When we arrived in the early evening it was a cute building in the rear of a residential area just past the town. The restaurant was only serving 2 dishes which were not to our liking, so we went out to eat. The room was cozy and clean with a nice little balcony facing the Alps and a little kitchen... More

We found the Alpenrose to be in a good location for a one night stopover en route to Mad King Ludwig' s Castle at Neuschwenstein. Although situated on the edge of a residential area the hotel is quiet. It is very comfortable and our room nice and clean. It is a 15 minute walk to the town. You don't need... More

Recommend the hotel and the area around. Relaxing atmosphere and suitable for mountain sport.

The pictures would make you think that this hotel is in a meadow, overlooking the Alps. The truth is, it's in a new development outside a small town (you'll need a car) right next to other hotels and housing with views of the parking lot below. Rooms are dark and dreary and there's nobody on duty after 6 p.m. Billiard... More

Our research gave the impression that this was a nicely set traditional hotel however it was located unsually in a residential area next to a train line. The room was quite large but basic. The bathroom was very small and it took us sometime to discover that the hot water service in the bathroom had been turned off, making for... More
