We had booked with great care here, as we needed safe bicycle storage for a few days whilst we visited the UK. Our reception was not even luke warm, cold and uncaring of our concerns for our bike storage, despite the fact we had emailed and ascertained if safe storage was available. The bikes, in boxes from the plane were... More

The Gruner Hof is a great traditional Bavarian guest house. The food is fantastic. A true down-to-earth Bavarian restaraunt that has all of the classics. They have a great selection of different Schnitzels and specialties. The beer is good and is from the local brewery Hofbrau Freising. The Huber Weisse is outstanding. The rooms are clean and very utilitarian. Not... More

The Gruner Hof is a guest house/hotel which also has a Bavarian restaurant. The restaurant is a great place to get some real German food at very reasonable prices. Though sprinkled with tourists, the restaurant is primarily a place where locals meet. The guest house is clean and modest. It is very quiet at night -- it's located right behind... More

We stayed here twice in September 2007, one night early in the month, and then two nights near the end. I chose Friesing first because of its proximity to the Munich airport, and then because the town sounded interesting - quaint and historic. We had spent a week in Hamburg at the World Triathlon Championships and were now starting three... More
