The hotel has a very rude and vulgar owner. On several occasion, he was rude not only to me, but to the rest of my group. The booking was made for a scientific meeting. The owner persistently accused me and other members of the group of having guest in the room staying the night and wanted a higher rate. This... More

The hotel is located within a few minutes of walking distance to downtown. Rooms are comfortable and quiet; beds are very cozy. Rooms do not have phones. The including buffet-style breakfast offers a variety of breads, jams, cereal, meats, cheeses and more. For visitors arriving by car, the hotel owned free parking is certainly a plus. Staff and owners are... More

It's small family hotel 700mt away of the pedestrian area where you may also go by car and park in a small open public parking at the beginning of this area. The hotel has its own parking. The room was medium size, comfortable, warm, clean, quite.we paid for the room without breakfast 105 €

The owners are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. The room was comfortable. The hotel isn't in the town center, but the ten-minute walk up the Schleifmühleweg from the edge of the old town isn't unpleasant. It's a longer walk up from the train station though, so beware: the reception is not open all day! It's closed between... More

We arrived at 15:45, reception doesn't open till 16:00 . But at 16:15 another guest who was waiting called the hotel because there was still no one. The owner said, you should have called earlier... If I were the owner and I reviewed my bookings, I would make sure the door was open.... To be honest, I considered cancelling while... More

Kupferhammer is a typical German garni hotel, popular with middle aged people on a business trip or perky elderly groups of local cyclers. The hotel was clean, the room was big enough and not as dusty as the garni hotels often are, but the bathroom was tiny. The lady at the reception was nice and cheerful and she informed me... More

Pro: Relatively inexpensive, clean, breakfast was more than adequate. A pleasant 5-10 min walk to the downtown area. They were painting some of the rooms while we stayed so they must be in the process of updating. Con: A little on the small side. We actually stayed here twice, once at the beginning of our trip and again at the... More

Kupferhammer is an excellent value boarding for travelers on a budget. The rooms are well appointed with the only downside being the limited channels on the telly. Run by Steffen and Ines, the hotel offers complimentary breakfast, minibar, and a dining room. The parking is limited, so please call in advance to place a request for your parking needs.

PRO: Relatively clean, breakfast included, thanks to shutters the room can be very dark and quiet, windows can be opened CONTRA: Reception somewhat tepid, everything is loveless (old and in need to be replaced), 60ies look and feel, breakfast also loveless, smalest TV I have seen in a very long time (can hardly see the picture from the bed), nothing... The hotel is small, located in the suburbs of Tubingen, but with walking distance to the down town. The room, we got, was rather small with extra small bathroom. The furnishing is old, dated and the walls need renovation. Breakfast was rich, typical German and apart of free parking is the strongest point of this destination. The rate we paid... More
