This is a good way of describing how to get into town from the hotel, without driving. It was an easy walk, altho' I wouldn't want to do the reverse trip as it would be mostly uphill. The hotel was very nice - large room with a shared terrace, large modern bath & an excellent German- style buffet breakfast. The... More

I stayed here in September for two nights. The hotel is in a small village a few miles outside of Schwabisch Hall. There is a good sized car park but it did get busy. My room was lovely, a really good size and modern bathroom. I was travelling on my own with my dog and had booked a single room... More

We stayed here as part of a large group for 3 nights. The hotel layout is a bit strange. The ground floor consists of a grotty public bar with pool table and darts board and which is very smoky; and a rather nice restaurant on the other side. You have to walk through the restaurant to check in and get... More

Another business trip found me at at the Sonneck and having seen the reviews I wasn't sure what to expect yet I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is indeed a little out of the way but if you're in the area I'd say get it booked. Check in was great and my room far exceeded expectations with an ultra modern... More

We stayed at the Hotel Sonneck for a night on our way back to Munich after a drive around southern Germany. The hotel is very clean and German traditional-modern and the staff were very accommodating and helpful. Although there was no air conditioning in our room, the fan in the room kept things cool enough. We had a very good... More

First, the room: it was extremely clean. The bathroom was practically spotless. The room itself was very large, and despite having booked a single I was given a two-bed double with a couch, which was nice. There was a french door that led out to a big communal balcony; as it was January I obviously didn't spend any time out... More
