I have just returned from a business trip to Karlsruhe and am very happy that I found this little gem (instead of staying in a city hotel). I had not read the reviews from Kevin P or daisybob before I went - but I can only agree with everything that they wrote. I have rarely had a better breakfast (even... More

This charming and beautifully decorated small hotel is conveniently and very quietly situated a few minutes walk from the town centre, on the northern edge of the Black Forest. Arrival is a little tricky as the reception is only open at restricted times, but you can arrange to collect your key from an exterior keysafe if necessary. The owner who... More

This friendly small hotel sits in a picturesque town on the edge of the Black Forest. It was easy to get the tram to Karlsruhe (and the owner provided us with free guest tickets for the tram). We had a small apartment style room with separate bathroom and kitchenette. Nice balcony with lovely views of the forest. The whole hotel... More

Stayed here for two nights and the local area is very nice and picturesque. (Especially Baden-Baden which is only a short drive away). The room was a good size for two travellers and our luggage. Hotel was nice and clean. Car parking is directly outside hotel and they have limited spaces (6 or 7) so it may be a good... More

Very friendly and helpful owners. Very clean heated pool and nice sauna. Excellent breakfast. They went the extra mile, providing free train pass to nearby Christmas Market. Bad weather made walking unpleasant so owner offered to drive us to dinner and set up a return ride by the chef! Near enough to train station to walk, same to nearby swim... More

Our room was more a studio apartment with kitchen area and balcony and large seating and excellent views of the Black Forest. Location is on a secondary quiet road about 400 yards from the bars and local shops and easy parking. Breakfast was really nice and very attentive owner who went out of way to be friendly. On paying at... More

Herr Streit is a very gracious host, I HIGHLY recommend this hotel. Breakfast is typical, therefore quite adequate. Not a 5 star hotel...but you wouldn't get such personal service at a 5 star hotel.
