Found this hotel on the net a last minute booking for Basel watch fair. Having not been before to the show this hotel was as good as it can get. After arriving by plane to Mulhouse and going through the French side it was a 10 minute 20 Euro taxi fair to the hotel. The hotel is in the middle... More

We stayed for two nights at the Carat. Its' location is poor- car definitely essential. Plenty of parking. The lobby is nice and comfortable, and we were offered coffee as we were early for check in. WIFI codes were freely given which was helpful. Our room was fine- and although a kettle would have really been welcome, they didn't mind... More

Although this hotel is situated in the vicinity of the motorway, it's hard to find without sat-nav. There is a reasonable Mexican themed restaurant with only Mexican food. The rooms do not have airconditioning and were very hot because the windows did not open. Because the escalator was out of order we were offered a room on the third floor... More

The obvious downside of the hotel is the location which is horrible, but it was also very inexpensive for a four star in this part of Europe. The frustration is that it could be so much better by dealing with easy to solve problems. The daytime reception staff were excellent and helpful. The overnight ones (including the evening when we arrived)... More

Stayed for one night while visiting Basel, from Basel city centre the hotel feels like it's in the middle of nowhere once you eventually reach it! The grounds of the hotel itself are quite pleasant and looked after but the interior of the Hotel is very dated and feels like it's stuck in a time warp/another dimension. When we arrived... More

I spent 3 nights, no problem at all. Room OK. Bathroom OK. Breakfast OK, fortunately included in standard price, otherwise bloody expensive and not worthy. Wifi OK at 9th floor, though new code every day per each device is a bit annoying. I appreciate working desk at the room, however not enough plugs, if you want plug-in notebook, you have... More

+ minibar with snacks + wifi (new code every day) + friendly staff + decent Mexican food in the restaurant + okay breakfast but expensive for €16,- + location near highway and about 10 to 15 minutes from the airport - €8,- a day for parking - 90's interior rooms and matching funkyness in the curtains and carpets

Nice hotel. The reception staf was very pleasant and helpful. Room was nice. The bed was a little smaller than we are used to, but it was wonderfully comfortable. With no A/C in the rooms, (standard for DEU) a fan would have been nice to help circulation. Breakfast was Superb!!! Would definitely stay here again.

On a one-night stop during our bike trip, this place was VERY easy to find off the motorway (approach from German side, follow signs for Weil Am Rhein). Good sized room though no aircon. Comfortable. Handy location for onward travel, Great views! Staff are very friendly and helpful, even getting us drinks when the bar wasn't open. The Hazienda Restaurant... More

I have stayed at the Carathotel a number of times while on work training courses. The hotel is located on the outskirts of Weil Am Rhein and while there are not a lot of local attractions, it is very well suited as a business hotel. The Hazienda restaurant is good and provides decent food at an afforable price. This is... More
