We used this hotel as a base to tour around the dams of Germany and local area. Parking at the front do the hotel where reception can see them for security. Reception/bar/dining room all very pleasant. Rooms basic with ensuite, TV, wifi free but no storage space. Rooms very clean and ideal for our long weekend bike tour. Staff very... More

We were in Soest for one night to visit the Christmas market. The hotel is ideally situated just outside the old city wall: easy to find (and free parking) and a short walk (through the town wall) into the picturesque old town. The staff were friendly and obliging and responded immediately to my request for a non-feather pillow - unlike... More

If you find yourself in the area, make a stop in Soest (pronounced Soohst) and spend a night (or two) at the Prodomo Hotel. The old town has preserved its character and has some interesting "Fachwerk" architecture. The hotel is located just outside the old city wall, within easy walking distance from the center of town. It is quiet and... More

Stayed one night but would happily have stayed longer. The rooms were very adequate and reasonably priced. Michael was very friendly, explained the whys and wherefores of beer serving in Germany and his recommendation of where to eat was spot on. Would I stay again if I was in the area? Definitely!

Stayed for one night stop-over and would have been happy to stay longer. Prodomo is situated on the edge of Soest and in a nice quiet location within 10/15 minute walk of town centre - across park and through the old town wall. Soest is well worth a visit. Free parking adjacent to the hotel, rooms were very simple and... More

We stayed here for one night on a two week motorcycle trip around Europe, it was very wet when we arrived, so we dripped all over the lobby area - this does not always go down well with receptionists, but we were made very welcome, and they even moved the outside tables to get our bikes closer to the hotel... Stayed here for a night after attending a welcome meeting. Room is not so modern as shown on their website and other booking websites, but there was complimentary water. The hotel lies on a quiet street. Well, Soest is a quiet little charming town. Receptionists were very friendly and helpful. Saw a good mixture of different nationalities the next day... More

This was one of the worst hotels we have ever been to - and we travel a lot. We got down to the breakfast room, and it was overcrowded. No table. They had busloads full of guest, but not enough room for them. When we complained later, we were told by the grumpy lady at the cash desk, we should... More

We stayed for 2 nights in Pro Domo this month. The hotel is old, not the kind of hotel we normally choose for a short trip. The location is ok, a short walk true a park and you are in the town centre. Free parking is in front and on the side of the hotel. The rooms are strange, one... More

We arrived to find 4 people behind reception, none of whom greeted us or looked as if they worked in a hotel. We checked in and were asked to pay in advance 'because it will be busy in the morning' In fact there was nobody around except someone doing breakfast, they were clearly lazy. The restaurant/ reception/ games room/bar was... More
