We only stayed for one night but would have stayed longer if they weren't fully booked. This is a jewel in southern Germany with lovely rooms, great food and charming staff --- we loved it and hope to go again when we are in the area. We recommend this hotel highly -- you won't be disappointed !!!

We had a short visit that surpassed our expectations. Dinner was yummy and a good value for the quality. The presentation made us wish we had been hungry enough for dessert, but we had eatten too much fest food earlier in the day. The service was impeccable. Our after-dinner walk afforded us the opportunity to get some exercise and to... More

We were greeted warmly by Hannelore when we arrived and shown to a large room overlooking the neighboring farmland. We used their wonderful sauna; it did take awhile to warm up but it gave us a chance to take a relaxing walk nearby. We had one of the best dinners ever that night and felt like we were given special... More

Very clean and nice hotel, very quiet and nicely decorated in the german style - very warm, the kind of place you almost feel at home. You are welcomed by the owners - both very keen to help you - and the rooms are very clean. Ask for a quiet room on the back of the Landhof. Reasonnable prices for... More

My wife and I go out of our way (literally) to re-visit zur Grenze - because we know for certain we will always have a very enjoyable stay. The property is very attractive in the typical style of the region, and maintained to the highest standards. Hannelore and George are the most welcoming and friendly of hosts and, of course,... We stayed for 3 nights in late July to spend time with family and friends. The hotel is located less than 5 minutes from the center of Isny in gorgeous and peaceful surroundings. There is ample parking right in front of the custom built, yet traditionally looking hotel. Rooms are of an average to large size and decorated in cozy... More

We stayed here 3 nights in late July when we travelled to Isny and Kempten to visit friends and family. The hotel sits on a pristine hill with views of the beautiful countryside. Guest room is comfortable albeit without the modern-day comforts i.e. LED screen, Internet WiFi. Given the small number of rooms (12), breakfast experience is very personalized and... More

Me and my boyfriend have stayed at this hotel twice, first for one night during a European road trip in Autumn 08 and we loved this place so much we returned for three days in January this year. The setting is perfect. The hotel is surrounded by gently undulating fields (meadow in the Autumn, blanketed with snow in the Winter)... More
