Stayed at this hotel from the 15th March 2014 for 1 week and the only comment I can make to describe the full experience is EXCELLENT! I stayed there with a work colleague and 8 students. Rooms were immaculately clean as was the en-suite. The staff are a credit to the hotel and every area , from Hotel reception, breakfast... More

I was staying in this hotel twice during the summer, each time for 3 nights. The hotel is situated perfectly at the start of a boardwalk full of nice restaurants and Cafés. The hotel itself is in a building aged more than 600 years, which makes it very special. At one stay I was upgraded free of charge to a... More

Dear itaytrip, thank you for your great review! As a matter of fact, we do not have air condition in the rooms. These high temperatures will usually be only 4-5 wwek during the year. However, the new Lobby and some rooms in the 2nd floor have a passive, ceiling-cooling to prevent too high temperatures. Best regards Thomas Heigl Owner with... More

Coming from the southeast US, I am most comfortable when the staff is friendly, the room is quiet, and there is food nearby! This hotel has all three, and then some. I opted for the "mini-suite" which was up the stairs, almost a loft, and facing away from the town courtyard. The room is very comfortable, it has a large... More

This was our second stay at the Klassik. It is located along the old City Wall right beside one of the gates. Parking is provided at a covered garage right across the street. We came back because the hotel is well run, clean, and located right at the end of the pedestrian walkway for the old part of the city.... More

Dear bergbahnn, thank you for your great review! It was a pleasure to accomodate you for the second time in our family-run Hotel and we would be very happy to see you again after we have finished our additions. We do now have a very nice sauna- and spa-area with 3 saunas (incl. a finnish outside sauna), a gym and... More

Outstanding accomadations, a magnificent staff and a great location. The Klassik will be my ONLY choice for my next stay in Weiden. Terrific breakfast, clean and spacious rooms and a cadre of freindly, helpful people. You can't do any better than the Klassik!

I have stayed at this hotel three times in the last year for a total of about 40 days. My boyfriend is in the military and Weiden is about 30 minutes away from base so it's convenient for him to go back and forth. We stayed in January 2012, June 2012 and October 2012. The staff is great, very helpful... More

My husband and I were booked into this lovely establishment by our business colleagues who live on the outskirts of this beautiful, small town. Although we, unfortunately, had only one day and night to stay in Weiden, we were enchanted with our accommodations and with the environs of the town. Our room at the Klassik overlooked the main town square... More

My husband and I have visited Weiden several times and always said we wanted to stay at the Klassik Hotel am Tor. Recently we finally had the chance and we stayed for 5 nights. The location was superb. I thoroughly enjoyed exploring the old town center and the beautiful park right outside the old wall. The room was modern, roomy... More

A charming hotel partly incorporated into an old city wall. We paid a little more for a better room on the 2nd floor with a nice window overlooking the pedestrianized altstadt, which has a number of restaurants, sweet shops and cafes with outdoor seating. The hotel has no restaurant but there is a tiny, attractive bar and outdoor tables. Our... More

I stayed in a "single" room for one night in January. The room was a bit small for those planning on staying more that one-two nights...for me it was fine. The hotel is in the heart of the town, and the back door opens right up to the town square. There are tons of shops and restaruants all around the... More
