Let me first agreee that the Schlossberg is in an excellent location and that the restaurant serves excellent food (we were able to eat outside on the terrace). This hotel - which is 4* - is an older building a short walk outside the main town on a hill below the castle. Our room was not too large but was comfortable with a good bathroom and a wonderful view over the Harz mountains. The staff were courteous and helpful.
