Welcome to the hotel Deutschherrenhof! Experience the charming Moselle-valley! We warmly welcome you directly at the Moselle in the historic walls of the hotel Deutschherrenhof. Where once the knights of the Deutschherrenorden used to live, we offer you more than 50 individual rooms in our main- and guesthouse. Discover the region from the romantic village Zeltingen-Rachtig: No matter if you prefer a bycicle tour directly along the river, hiking in the beautiful landscape or walking through the old city of Bernkastel-Kues, Trier or even Luxembourg for a day... the Moselle-valley is fascinating and offer a lot of interesting spots on short distance. Afterwards you relax on our Moselterasse and enjoy a homebaked cake and the view over the wineyards. Good regional food, the worlds famous Moselriesling and historic atmosphere can be found in our Rittersaal (knights-hall). Our whole team is looking forward to your stay!

I have stayed here several times and still come back. I try not to get upset at the various rules about seating etc and lack of fridge and kettle is always annoying these days but at least the WiFi works. Nice location, sturdy food and nice staff.

We stayed here on our cycle trip. The staff were friendly. Room had a big comfy chair and a big screen so I could watch the world cup. No fridge or air con though. Hotel looks a bit dated. It annoyed me at breakfast that we had been pre booked to a table. There was a lovely terrace area overlooking the river Moselle but we were stuck in the back of the restaurant even though it was empty. Germans can be big stressers and love their rules so I didn't make a big deal about it

The hotel is okay but area now very quiet and most places closed. It’s from another era and needs to join this century. By the way the paper mache Knight bears the black cross from 1813 but appears to be a crusader from medieval times!!!

Nice quaint old hotel a with a warren of corridors leading to rooms, bar and restaurants, my room was clean and tidy although stuffed in the attic, bit of a trek carrying luggage especially when having to negotiate stairs as it seemed to take for ever to get the elevator. A great incentive is if you don't need your room servicing hang the brown bag on the door handle and you are rewarded with a free beer!! Friendly efficient staff who tolerated our appalling german with their very good english, why are we so lazy when it comes to learning a language?

I know this hotel well as I was stationed in Germany and lived approx 20 mins away. My late husband introduced me to it as he lived down the street. I enjoyed having coffee and cake on the patio and watching the boats on the Mosel river go by. I will be visiting Germany later this year and will definitely sit and have coffee again.

This was our first hotel on our motorcycle tour. We were only here for one night but we had good food and a very comfortable room. The hotel lift was a bit small and slow but it didn't detract from the stay.

We stayed here for two nights and could not be happier with the whole experience. The staff were super friendly, happy and efficient, going out of their way at all times to be helpful and cheery with us. Room was basic, but comfortable and practical. There is no lift, so beware if you find stairs difficult as all rooms are up at least one flight, with all single rooms all on the third floor. Reception closes at 9pm, although we arrived half an hour late and the receptionist kindly waited for us to check in. You get a key to the outside door of course, so you can come and go as you please despite the reception area being closed. Breakfast was incredible value for money with a large selection of cereals, bread, cheese, meat and other delicacies. The location is perfect, just ten minutes walk from the main station and five minutes from the old town In one direction and five minutes from the Mosel in the other. We would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay here again if we go back to Trier.

We stayed for 4 nights in the hotel.(december 2016). Rooms are very clean( and quiet), the breakfast buffet is well worth the price. Friendly staff that is willing to translate the menu. Typical and tasty German dinner ( good portions, low price), since there are not many restaurant (or other hotels) open in the winter period along the mosel river , it is recommended to take half board in the hotel. Althought the dinner can be quite early in summer times ( 6PM-7:30PM). The serving of the dinner is also very quick ( 1 hour - 4 courses). Nice and clean sauna/ welness area. There is also a bar/ kegelbahn/winetasting evenings , .... Very good hotel !

After a long day cycling down the beautiful Mossel valley it was a joy to be welcomed. The terrace was a great venue for the first and second thirst quenching beers. The rooms are spotless with good en suite facilities. Dinner on terrace with great service from Philip hit the spot. Breakfast is included and all one could want. Everything God for reasonable price. Thank you.
