Stayed here with our daughter, husband and 2 young grandchildren. Indoor swimming pool to ourselves after busy sightseeing every day before dinner. Spectacular views of the Rhine down below and the train and traffic looked like a miniature scene! Exceptionally clean, spacious room and self service breakfasts and dinner with appetising food. Staff very amenable taking time to speak to... More

Fab views. Yep steep walk up through trees or longer by road and badly signposted. Food great for the price. Bedrooms - we had 2 X 3 bed rooms with shower rooms designed for wheelchair access so massive. Pool was around 32deg, hotter than a typical public pool, excellent, you can do short lengths in it and they limit numbers... More

We very much enjoyed our 1 night stay at the hostel in Oberwesel, however word to the wise. It is up the top of a hill and takes a long time to get there. Maybe up to 45min. There is a shortcut throught the trees but it can be steep and muddy. Definitely best to be visited by car. The... More

Visited last month on a recce and health and safety visit. Fabulous views over the Rhine. Clean, bright and shiny new. The public spaces are open and cater for young and old. The bedrooms are spacious, warm and well appointed. Breakfast was excellent. Coming back with 37 children in July and looing forward to it,

A beautiful modern hostel but located about 600 meters up the hill from the town. The view is worth the climb though! I had a nice three bed room to myself (weekday) with beautiful private bathroom. The bed was already made, and towel provided. Fantastic for 25 euros, breakfast included...I would compare it to a mid range hotel! Of course... More

We stayed here on a biking trip along the Rhine. This is a really huge property with music rooms, bonfire, pool , nice bar/cafe open till fairly late in night, children's play area etc. In the summer, many school groups are here. We had dinner and breakfast which was very good and much better than any other youth hostels we... More

I stayed at Rheintal-Jugendherberge for a week-long youth conference. The hotel is situated on top of a cliff, which is something people arriving by train should prepare for. Climbing up with your luggage isn't exactly fun, and if you want to eat out or get food from the local supermarket, you'll have to climb down and then up all over... More

Overall, this was a very good accommodation. I was here for a retreat, and was impressed by the way the hostel and staff accommodated our group. The food was fine. The views overlooking the Rhine were beautiful. There was plenty of space and different areas around the hostel to be in - the pool, a bar, a game room, large... More
