I've recently spend a night there during a business trip. The hotel certainly looks the part from the front and the staff is very attentive. Unfortunately the rooms do not live up to this at all. Being located towards the back in a newish extension, they lack any character and feel more like a youth hostel than a four star... More

Charming, clean rooms however no air-conditioning. I'm sure it's no issue in winter but it was really hot whole we were there and we really would have loved to get some cooling. The manager did mention that they would be installing it soon. The breakfast buffets were fantastic. The staff was friendly.

Because of the picture, I thought it would be similar to the country inns we had stayed in throughout Europe. It wasn't. The picture is the main building for reception and dining. Our room was in a building in the rear which was a Holiday Inn 1980s style and furnishings. It needs updating especially the carpet and lighting. The morning... More

I think all things considered, this small hotel did alright. I was staying with many from my company and was warned that we weren't able to get into the "good" hotel. But even with the very small rooms, I found everything to be satisfactory or better. The one meal that I had there was very good and the bartenders at... More

Recently stayed here 1 night on business. Room was on first floor and was a bit tired but comfortable. The receptionist was very welcoming. Breakfast the following day was ok with a varied choice but the welcome not very good with the waitress appearing from time to time.

It looks like an old small castle. Do NOT expect anything inside this hotel that reminds you of an castle. Breakfast is good, quality products and wide range of choices. Wifi, parking of car and use of sauna is free!!! the rooms in the mainbuilding are just not up to date. Actually they are getting a little tacky and dirty.... More

We have recently spent three nights in the Hotel Haus Duden, the staff were very friendly and the food was very good but the hotel is a little tired and could do with updating. The room we stayed in had a very sloping roof so you had to be very careful not to hit your head.

Stayed here for business. First time in 2007 which was generally fine, and stayed many times, however now it feels dated. The mosquito screens on the bedroom windows are mostly damaged and the rooms are starting to feel grubby. Food in the bar is poor for the price, I would recommend going to a local restaurant, if you can find... More

Picked Haus Duden for it's location while en-route to my destination. The room was very basic and the internet didn't work on the night. It did however provide a pleasant quiet night in the countryside and is great value. I do wish to recommend the place for the restaurant which was truly 1st class and I would dine there again... We stayed here one night, and it was quite nice. We had a warm welcome, and the man at the counter showed us to our room, which was out in a newer building. It was large and comfortable, with a huge picture window that looked out on a grove of trees. My daughter spent a couple of hours in the... More
