When your are staying in smaller German cities you cannot expect a concept business hotel, but usual the more family driven hotels. The standard of these is of a big variation, so it is about finding the right ones. Hotel Krone-Post is one of them, nice local vibe and even if the facilities are old school they are there. Like... We have stayed in only one hotel in Eberbach but there is no possibility we will stay anywhere else, such is the standard of this hotel. We have been coming here for almost 20 years and, if anything, the quality of the food has improved every year, thanks to the owner/chef Uwe. His wife, Christiane, looks after front of house... The hotel has lots of character and a beautiful location, in the old town but directly overlooking the Neckar River, particularly peaceful at this point of the valley. AlthougH there are no room balconies, the view from the window of our room, straight across the river to the wooded hills beyond, was great. The hotel also has a delightful terrace... More

It's a family run type of place. The building is a little quirky, but the rooms are clean. Breakfast (meat, cheese, eggs etc) and WiFi were included. Staff were really helpful. Two of the bigger businesses in town recommend this one over the other choices, and my colleague confirmed it was nicer, with a bigger choice at breakfast. The restaurant... More

There was a great deal of charm and a bygone elegance at the Krone-Post. We parked in the parking lot in back of the hotel. We were met and the luggage was carried inside to the elevator to our pleasant room. In the morning we had a wonderful breakfast. Our food was served in a room with big windows. the... More

Located on the River Neckar and yet in the middle of the picturesque town of Eberbach, our stay here was a very pleasant experience. The shopping and dining establishments of the town are all in the neighborhood - one can have great cakes and coffee in the coffee shops in town. Heritage bungalows and a church provide the perfect setting... More

My husband had business in Eberbach. We (myself, husband, mother-in-law and 10 yo daughter) stayed at Hotel Krone Post for 2 nights. We had a large room/suite, with one double bed bedroom and a living room with a double sofa bed. There were large windows that you can open and offered nice views of the Neckar River and the town.... I think this is the biggest hotel in the little town of Eberbach. My experience was a bit spooky because, well out of season, I was the only guest - I think they left me there on my own till the morning! In high season it must be more bustling, but Eberbach is clearly a bit of a backwater. Nevertheless,... More
