The hotel is located at a small, quiet street that's easily accessible once you know where it is. You can get in and out of the city with your car in a matter of minutes, which seems to be a luxury in Goslar. Still you can walk to the old town center in less than five minutes. Our room was... Good location very close to old town, friendly helpful English speaking staff. Handy free parking at rear, free WiFi, safe in room. Breakfast reasonable. BUT, and it's a big but, the room that we had was generally scruffy, dirty and needed significant renovation. The shower had an excess of black mould, basin badly cracked, bedroom carpet worn and dirty, very... More

The hotel has secure parking at the rear. The rooms are nicely appointed but there is no lift. They serve a great included breakfast buffet. The staff were very helpful. Free wi-fi is available and works well. The hotel has no restaurant but there is a Greek restaurant nearby.

Arrived late on Sunday evening for a 1 night stay only to find the reception closed and the main door locked. However there was a note in the window with my name on it inviting me to call a number. Within minutes the owner had returned to let me in. A very pleasant and friendly hotel with large well appointed... More

Excellent service from the family owners who are onsite and very helpful, not like your jpage here which is very customer unfriendly to someone who is in a hurry

My first trip to Goslar was a pleasant one. The aesthetic beauty of the town and friendliness of its people was perfectly complimented with a great stay at Hotel Die Tanne (also referred to as Hotel Garni Die Tanne). This hotel exceeded all expectations with a perfect blend of location, adequate parking, comfort, cleanliness, and overall value. After parking my... More

We called in on spec, stayed two nights. We wised we could have stayed longer. Although English lwas limited (theirs) as was German(ours) we all got on famously. Hotel was clean, well run, great breakfast spread. Very well situated for walking to old town. Easy to drive to. All round top marks.

Stayed only one evening (unfortunately) when visiting Goslar, but what a lovely stopover hotel. A family hotel with everyone anxious to help. Easy checkin, bags can be left, all so easy thanks to the kind management and staff. A great find.
