In a quiet back street of beautiful Goslar, this is a triumph of loving restoration. We treated ourselves to a suite (birthday time!) and were delighted. Now, if you like modern hotels with loads of straight walls and floors, this isn't for you. But if you want wide wooden floorboards, delightfully angled beams, and a terrific modern bathroom this is... More

not nessesarily by order of importance, but here we go: The huge 40 square-meter room, totally quiet and isolated but very close to the main center, modern efficient facilities, double sinks in room, very fast and stable Wi-Fi, many and easily accessible power outlets in room , throughout the hotel a sense of history and regal ancient atmosphere, original pictures... What a gem in the middle of Goslar. An old renovated building with cute redone rooms, with a modern bath. Our room the "Prägestube" had a view of the garden and the small street/walkway of cobblestone. The hotel breakfast buffet was exceptional, in the evening a small bar offered a place to unwind. And all that 2 minutes walk time... More

Was a present we got and spent a long WE there. I have to say that the concept is very unique and traditional. The location is outstanding especially during Xmas period. If it would not be far away, we would visit it once more. However the town is really small and in a few days you have seen everything.

Recently stayed 2 nights here, with the hotel parking you can just park your car and walk to all the surrounding sites. Very comfortable accommodations with a complete breakfast. The hotel has a bar in it where you can either use the honor system or has staff in the evening. Stunning inside and out.

We visited Goslar before exploring elsewhere, and had a thoroughly enjoyable weekend at the Alte Muenze. I don't think one part of the ceiling in our room was level, but the fixtures and fittings, especially in the bathroom and (separate) large wetroom, were ultra modern and very comfortable. Our room overlooked the charming courtyard, which was a really memorable view;... More

This hotel is really difficult to fault, my only criticisms are: 1. an extra towel in the room would have been appreciated. 2. some tea bags to go along with the coffee and hot chocolate in the room. Every room is individually furnished reflecting the fact that this hotel is situated in a wonderful old building (the old mint) very... More

Amazing hotel. Very friendly and great service. Perfect location in the centre of Goslar. Excellent breakfast. The rooms are wonderfully restored, unique and spacious. Highly recomendable. If we ever go back to Harzen, this is the only place to stay.

We stayed for a long weekend and booked a family room, which proved to be a very large split level apartment. The main bedroom was upstairs with an extra bed downstairs, both having an extra large TV. Bathroom was spotless, with a nice large powerful shower. The breakfast room is large and offers a good continental selection including eggs and... More
