Lovely hotel with great location. We had a big room with balcony and lake view. Hotel very clean and the buffet food good. Had trouble getting drinks in the evening, no waiters anywhere. Would recommend the hotel but the staff leave a lot to be desired.

We had a room facing the lake. We asked for extra pillows and these were supplied. The meals were buffet style and had good choices. The breakfast would satisfy every ones needs. A good place to learn some German phrases as not everyone could speak English. The hotel's location was excellent which meant you could have a walk in the evening round... More

We stayed here with our tour group. The room was clean and very warm. The staff were all very helpful, with most of them understanding at least some English. The meals were all buffet-style with a good variety of choice and everything was well cooked. However, the drinks service was quite slow at times. The beds were the usual German... More

Stayed here in tour party last spring - went for upgrade room wise and were given two great adjoining ones on top floor, front, at corner. Lovely views over the lake and village. Very clean and kept so, thru' out stay, by excellent housekeeping team. Eating was set menu perfectly acceptable with the occasional extra enjoyable item. Restaurant servers were... More

We stayed here for five nights over this Christmas with a party of 36 on a Railtrail holiday. The hotel is a rather jaded 1970's style concrete affair split into two separate buildings joined by a rather small reception and seating area. our room did have a view overlooking the lake but as it was dark wet and windy most... This hotel based in Hahnenklee is a 3 star, basic yet very comfortable hotel with very helpful staff. It is on the main road which can be noisy during the day. Outside the summer and main ski season very little is open in Hahnenklee and the hotel offers only refreshments by way of a vending machine after breakfast and till... More

Old, but clean and well maintained hotel. Friendly staff, good food, a large indoor swimming pool with a big slide and located in a small village near a lake and the ‘Bocksberg’ (local mountain; 726 m above sealevel). Good value for money! The hotel is a good starting point for day trips in the Harz Mountains, which are extremely beautiful... More

we have just arrived back from a National Holidays coach trip to this hotel having being diverted there from the Ramada in Hannover. This hotel left a lot to be desired of, having been out all day in temperatures of minus 5 since early morning it would have been nice to arrive to a plate of hot soup, but no,... More

Centrally located for the village which has nice and well signed forest and lakeside walks and is convenient for picture book towns in the Harz Mountains which have many half timbered houses.. Good bus access and good rail service in nearby Goslar. The rooms are large and quite comfortable but the food although tasty is buffet style and can only be... More
