We had orginally booked into the Zeppelin Hotel via the Zeppelin-NT website, but they cancelled our reservation without our knowledge and we ended up at the Krone. It is a hundred times better than the Zeppelin Hotel. It is a delightful hotel with big rooms, comfortable, electrically-adjustable beds, balconies in all the rooms and excellent facilities. We chose this hotel for the beginning and end of our touring holiday of Bavaria and Austria last summer with our two teenagers. We wanted to be near Friedrichshafen airport but not in a town and this hotel was ideal. The hotel offers a "Champagne-Dreams"-deal including a 'comfort room', breakfast buffet, five course dinner and a free ticket for the Zeppelin-Museum - priced at EUR 117.50 per night (single). The breakfast buffet is excellent and beautifully presented; the dinner is, however, a very slow and pretty average affair - at one stage drinks took over thirty minutes to arrive. The... more
