The hotel has a good location, opposite the lakeside gardens, and a short walk from the town centre. Our room was enormous and very comfortable. We had friends staying in another room that was even bigger. The public areas are very old fashioned in a characterful way, entirely acceptable, rather than being neglected. There are hunting trophies in the reception,... more

This hotel certainly lived up to expectations. The location is very central, within easy walking distance of shops, railway, bus and ferry stations, the public areas are nicely decorated with a welcoming bar and restaurant. The breakfast was very good with a wide selection of cold food, the hot food ran out quickly and was not replaced. The bedroom was reasonably... more

Had a pleasant stay at the hotel. It doesn't look much from the main road, but the front of the hotel and entrance is actually around the corner on a side street. Reception staff helpful. Room very big for a double - as well as the usual furniture there was a sofa and plenty of room for it. The room... more

We stayed for one night at the hotel in August and it was great. The room we had was huge, it was more like an apartment and my adult daughter who was with us had a separate room in an upstairs loft. The room we booked was a triple but it had everything including a lounge, a/c and good views... more

Just back from a four night stay in this hotel. The location of this hotel is excellent, just beside the railway station. A train from the local airport takes 5 minutes and costs €1.65. We arrived early at the hotel to be greeted by a frosty female receptionist who didn't smile once and told us to leave our suitcases in... more

I spend a weekend with my husband in the Buchhorner Hof and we were delighted about the great location, the service and especially the dinner in the very cosy restaurant. We had a very comfortable and spacious room in the hotel, which was very clean and well designed. The hotel is located close to the city center and has a... more

Stayed at this hotel and while the location was good and the town was charming, this hotel was not so good. The room was so small I could touch one wall with my hand and the opposite wall with my foot. No A/C and a tiny window high up on the wall that I could not look out of. Also... more

We had a large, comfortable room at this hotel. We were there in June and it was warmer than expected. The Bucchorner Hof has air conditioning, which is not available in many German hotels. The staff is pleasant and a nice breakfast buffet is provided. We ate dinner in the hotel restaurant one night and had one of the best... more

My boyfriend and I stayed here last september on our little road trip through Europe. I had never been to Germany before but as our trip continued I got more and more impressed with the country! After a very good stay in Cochem, day trip to the Nurburg ring, cheapy hotel nr Stuttgart, this hotel carried on my good impressions!... more
