What a shame that an ideally located hotel cannot provide the usual 'Best Western' service that this chain of hotels is renown for. No lifts are available in the hotel, and no assistance provided to climb the three flights of stairs with luggage. Only lights working in the room were in the bathroom and foyer. Obtained a lamp from the... More

I was sent to stay here while on business so I couldn't comment on the price, but I certainly loved the location and enjoyed Friedrichshafen very much. The hotel was pretty basic, I had an absolutely enormous room that didn't have much furniture in it, so I found that quite odd and a bit like sleeping in an open-plan office... More

Best Western at Friedrichshafen. There are so many negatives to this hotel it would be too time consuming to list them all, however lack of a working internet on a business trip is most frustrating. 3 attempts to remedy this by the staff resulted in no change and NO INTERNET. Although the staff was pleasant, their failure to grasp the... More

The best part of this hotel is the staff. Very efficient and helpful. The hotel is typical of the older european model. No AC (or fan so no airflow ever), room coffee, iron boards, hand towels and no WiFi or internet access at all. The bed was OK and the shower was nice but there were no soap holders or... More

I don't know, where dit this hotel get 4 stars, as it was worse than any cheapest motel. The rooms were filthy and full of dead (and alive) bugs. Shampoos etc. were half-used and air-conditioning didn't work. Beds and doors were broken and surfaces and sheets was stained and dirty. At the parking lot there were dead rats. Rooms were... More

We stayed in the annex of this hotel which is situated behind the main hotel .The rooms were clean and comfortable particularly our friends room, which turned out to be a suite on the third floor! The hotel is ideally situated for ferries to Austria and Switzerland and also very close to the excellent Zeppelin museum. We ate one night... More

Don't book a lakeside room, they are located away from the hotel, the view isn't great and the aircon isn't good at all. If using sat nav to locate the hotel, trust it when it takes you to the bus station, drive to the bottom and take the pedestrian walkway. Parking is a good two hundred yards away.

Our room was located in a separate building in the street directly behind the hotel. After check-in, we passed through a small courtyard and moments later we were opening the front door of that building (a separate electronic key is provided). Once inside, there is a hallway and a door to the left of the elevator, which leads to the... More

The hotel is very conveniently situated, quite close if arriving by ferry or Friedrichshafen-Hafen branch line station. Our room, across the street from reception appeared to be very newly renovated, spacious with a modern design- we especially liked the reading lights about the bed-the flexible arm ones that you can position to your choice. Staff were pleasant especially the breakfast... More

Our trip to Friedrichshafen was for business purposes. We had a trade show to attend at Messe at the airport and we needed to stay somewhere in city center. They say it's 4*, but in reality it's just a 3+. They phone wasn't working in the room so we had to go downstairs every time we needed something from reception.... More
