Great location' comfortable rooms and great bathroom' great breakfast also. Strange reception set up' appears to be spread over two buildings. No ramp or elevater access without first having to struggle up or down steps' steps everywhere! Would recommend but not to infirm or disabled or those that struggle to carry bAgs up steps

This place has a serious communication problem. When my family checked in we were told that the apartment we rented was on the 6th floor of another building and that the only elevator would be undergoing repairs over the next few days. More surprises were in store - no free parking and no wifi. You can imagine our surprise to... More

The GPS brought us to the Cathedral. It took a little exploring to learn that the Hotel is 'round the back' in a building that probably was once part of a monastery but so renovated today that the entrance was more akin to a 1980's condo foyer than anything historical. You enter at the rear and take a most modern... More

I have booked this hotel through Booking.com. The confirmation mail says that the check-in policy is from 2pm to 7pm. At the very bottom of the confirmation email (after all useless information such as ads, location information and so on) there is a section that says "Important information: If you expect to arrive after 19:00, please inform the hotel in... It is a kind of hotel/pension (it is literally in a cloister). We stayed in a room with two big beds. The kids enjoyed a lot. Sober decoration but nice, modern, appropriate to the place and very clean. Nice location also. I would definitely recommend it if you are looking for something charming and not a business-hotel.

We booked this Hotel via Booking.com for our week's Christmas break to Bamberg from 20th - 27th December 2013. The reservation was confirmed. After an early start in London (4.30 a.m.) and overall train travel lasting approximately 9 hours, we arrived at the Hotel at around 5.20 p.m. only to be informed there was no room available for us. Instead... More

The staff is very friendly and breakfast is well worth the cost. The hotel is exceptionally bright and clean, comfortable and beautifully appointed. Felt luxurious at a fairly bargain price. Bamberg is a magical city! Skip Rothenberg and visit Bamberg instead. You won't be disappointed! On the down side, the hotel isn't within walking distance from the station, especially with... More

The hotel is well located, the staff friendly and the decor very pleasant... BUT our room was only suitable for a single bed and single occupancy. It is NOT a double room, even though there is a narrow double bed crammed into it against the wall. This means that one person has no bedside light, nowhere to put a book/mobile/glass... More

Located about 3 blocks from the main tourist center, this hotel offered a nice room that was small, but comfortable. We paid for breakfast and were satisfied with the selections available (standard breakfast with coffee and juice). Internet access was slow and un-encrypted, but also free. There was also an older television, which had different channels than the guide in... More

Enjoyed our stay here. Friendly reception staff who spoke good English. But the Reception is not open 24 hours so you need to be careful if you are arriving later in the day. Room was large and very clean although lighting in bathroom is not good for makeup/shaving. Breakfast for seven Euros was excellent value: cereals, breads, cold meats, cheese... More
